If you import and want to breed you will need to get an AKC DNA  they don't care if the country the dog came from does them or if the dog has one or not from any other country

They want you to get theirs.

I will add that not once has AKC asked about any DNA from another country on one of my imports

Oh, so we could already have done it at home (even if
not required by our KC) and still have to have it done
IN the States ?

Take it that IS all breeds, then ?

If you want to breed and register with AKC yes.  Import or not does not matter if it is male, it used to be for home bred males only after a certain number of litters then you had to may still be that way.  Imports have to be done.

It is if you want to breed.

"Something's fishy there..."

Lots of things...4 time regional champ and WUSV participant being bred to what is essentially a dog with no papers?

"The breeder's initials wouldn't happen to be TH, would they?"

LOL!  Sounds like a tale he'd weave...
