to the OP - Can you talk a little more about the tail chasing... How often does he do it, how long does he do it for, what does he do when he catches his tail, does he actually catch it? Sometimes, dogs and especialy young dogs and puppies chase thier tail. Both dogs in my house chased and still chase thier tail however the behavior has lessoned over the years. As pupps they both would chase thier tail for a short duration, then get ocupied with something else like a toy, a spot on the floor, a blowing leaf. In my point of view, that is normal natural behavior. Be honest with yourself about the behavior you are seeing. When does your puppy display the behavior, does it really cause you concern or is it more of 'huh, that's odd wonder why he does it". What does he do if you interupt the behavior and present some other stimulus like a toy, boy or a flirt rag?

This is to thank each and every one of you for taking the time and interest to give me for understanding or suggestions regarding this issue. From what I have ascertained, we will be taking our puppy to the Vet sooner than previously arranged to discuss the situation.

Grateful thanks to you all,
Rodeo
