Thanks for the concern Sue-Ann...he doesn't have much access to the litter box (it's actually at his grandma's house and not my own) and likes to peruse over the contents more than eat them. I think he likes all the interesting shapes and smells :) The first time he showed up with a gray kitty litter nose I freaked out, pried his mouth open, and saw only a tiny bit of kitty litter in there. After calling the vet and watching him closely, he turned up no worse for the wear.
Good warning though--it's a funny thing to see but I shouldn't have made light of a potentially harmful situation.

Lucky me as half my neighbors allow their cats to run wild and crap all over my yard.
