I don't quite understand how some of you can justify the way this guy talks to other posters here because you basically agree with his intent. Its not about that at all, it's about his belittling every single person here who dares to disagree with him. It's generally not what what he says, it's the way he says it.

Case in point, he just had to add the highlighted part, didn't he? He couldn't just back off gracefully and respect admin's request. He'd have been banned by now on many other forums.

"anyhoo will be more polite in future, don't want to upset anyone even if they are dribbling shit.".

Why did he have to add that to the end of what would have been a graceful way of admitting he used bad judgement and would do better the next time?

Ockerism ?? Teeth Smile

it's rather telling to see vk called out for a purported lack of politeness, a rather subjective construct to being with, while blitzen et al are free to flood thread after thread with their thinly veiled shot-gun approach to insults and innuendo. it's a sad state of affairs when a systemic onset of passive-aggressive affront is tolerated, if not encouraged, while straight-shooters face censorship.

by Blitzen on 30 May 2015 - 22:05

So report me et al to admin, bebo. You're always moaning about someone; tell it to Oli and/or a mod.

by vk4gsd on 30 May 2015 - 23:05

hund i call your ocker and raise you one yobbo;

"yobbo

a stereotypical aussie. beer in one hand, meat pie in the other.generally drive crappy old holdens and have a dozen mullet clad kids following them. by-products of alcoholic fathers.
"i'm a bloke, im a yobbo, me best mates name is robbo, winfield is me cigarette, i dress in flanalette""

and yes i agree some here say some of the most horrible, whack, baseless things in a polite demanour and get away with it. like repetitivley rubbishing an entire titling system as idiotic and stupid while they use the titles other people earned as marketing points when they are marketing yet the next batch of puppies for sale.

stating that people that get off their sofa and the internet to train their dogs to work somehow want to kill all show lines and other such complete rubbish is not considered impolite....as shrill, moronic and unjustified as it is.

vk4gsd, no, not flirting with you, my friend. As for your most attractive trait? I will admit that I know you to be much more savvy than you like to pretend to be, and I'm betting you're much more refined in your F2F interactions with people you're meeting in social settings--I doubt your partner would tolerate you if you weren't at least presentable in public.

Good-natured, intelligent ribbing is one thing--but your comment to bubba was more of a kid's schoolyard taunt, and that tactic has gotten beyond old. I notice you tend to resort to it when things have been too quiet for your liking, and you want to stir up a spirited debate that actually does include an exchange of ideas and theories that have been well thought out. It would be so much more pleasant, and likewise more productive, if you just started a thread of your own and floated a trial balloon of a topic. I saw nothing to be gained by you neener-neenering bubba that he's never attended a seminar by Ellis, Balabanov, etc. and never dropped a penny on their videos, books, and so forth--so what? Doesn't mean he can't watch the free videos of their work and seminars and gain some insight and respect for their techniques and opinions, and speak of such.

I know you've heard the vinegar:flies:honey correlation time and again, and while it may not be your preferred style, you might try using it more often than not. For that you try to make us all believe you are a complete troglodyte, you've permitted sufficient glimpses of your true visage for some of us to expect better of you.

^ sounds like flirting to me......Teeth Smile

by hexe on 31 May 2015 - 01:05

If I say I am, will you be a bit nicer to the other kids?

by ILMD on 31 May 2015 - 01:05

geez I am in no way trying to justify vk or his choice of language. I guess I did get a little carried away.

It's just that posts by anyone not claiming to be an expert in things they haven't done are so rare I got a little confused

my apoligies
