VVK, PETA believes keeping domestic animals is unethical. They believe all domestic animals should be turned loose and allowed to fend for themselves, without human intervention. Of course, that means most of our domestic animals would starve, especially the dogs. Can you imagine a pekinese trying to catch its own prey?
They usually euthanize even perfectly healthy dogs and cats almost immediately after they are surrendered. Their philosophy is the animal is better off dead than a 'prisoner'!

seems all i ever get about peta is what people that don'tlike peta say what peta is.
not sure if the org itself would define themsevles the way others that disagree with them define them.
anyhoo, not going to do any research as those groups usually attract spam on my 'puter.

That should be a clue for you.
'not sure if the org itself would define themsevles the way others that disagree with them define them.'
All you need to do is a tad of research, and you will realize the headlines Peta creates are always horrid , its like trying to find wonderful reports about Hitlers character.
