Hired Dog

Blitzen, you failed to answer my question I asked, but were quick once again to disagree, tell me on what basis though so that I know too. I am afraid that bczc was right when he made a statement about you being able to answer questions being asked to you...

by Blitzen on 05 July 2014 - 13:07

What was the question?

Hired Dog

by Hired Dog on 05 July 2014 - 13:07

Since you no longer own the dog and cannot dictate anything about it, what difference does it make if you know where its at? Before you tell me that the question was not addressed to you personally, since you were good enough to disagree with my post, you should be good enough to tell me why.

Asked and already answered above:

I haven't bred a litter for many years. When I did I kept in touch with every buyer so I knew the status of the dogs' health and temperament. How else do you know the breeding was or wasn't a success and how to procede in the future if you don't know the results of each breeding?

I take it you did not see my post to YR or ignored it in your haste to offer me TD?

by Blitzen on 05 July 2014 - 14:07

TD? I don't know what that is and sorry I didn't read that post to YR.  Maybe I will later, I have to get to training class now.

Q Man

Hired Dog: Maybe I wasn't clear what I meant...Or the way it came out...I was just meaning that I feel I bred this puppy/dog and I feel that gives me a reason to Care about and Wanting to know what happens to this puppy/dog...

I think any breeder who breeds for the right reasons...Cares about and Wants to know how their dog is doing...I'm in NO WAY saying or suggesting that I have or want control over my puppy/dog that I've sold...Actually just the opposite...I feel that I have sold my puppy/dog to someone that will take care of them and if I can help or assist in any way...I will absolutely offer my assistance...And YES I will always think of this as my puppy/dog...They will always be a part of me...If you feel any other way then you're breeding for the wrong reasons...

YR...We are doing good here and have had a lot of rain...but no damage from storms...Tornados have been close but thankfully didn't cause damage here...

Bob, thank you for clearing that up, I agree very much with that line of thought, as the breeder, you should know the most about a dog you bred!

Gigante

Boils down to the property issue. If I sold you a watch then I dont care what you do with it 5 mins later. However a dog is not a watch no matter what the law says. I will never loose sleep over what your doing with my watch, I will loose sleep and be very bothered by finding out I misplaced my puppy with an idiot. People lie steal and cheat. No matter the vetting wennies and idiots can be crafty. If its up front and you understand taking someone's dogs requires you to follow through with some rules, then what exactly is the issue??
