Irrelevant enough to be read, and responded to not less than four times. Ah, I wish I had that much free time to concern myself with things I find irrelevant. However, if I were in that predicament, I'd probably decide it was time for a hobby; maybe go work a dog or something? Or some nice needlepoint if dogs weren't my thing. -- on topic: I think the stick hit ought be part of the trial process. Like everything, it can be fudged and handled without equality between competitors due to politics, but on the whole I think it a good test of a dog's courage [dog engages despite brandished "weapon"] and in lieu of some of the poorly trained prey-monsters I've seen from time to time, it highlight the dog's ability to target the sleeve instead of going for another moving thing, like the stick. Shows the dog has nerve, and discretion in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more Bob. I was thinking now that it's all IPO we in the states could also offer our own sch3 title. Include all those aspects that made schuzhund a true test. Sound good?

"The AKC could buy and sell the FCI and that is why the AKC is not now nor will it ever be an FCI member." The reason the AKC is not a member is by choice and if they were, they would actually need to follow the breed standards, not ones made up here in the US.

The AKC follows the breed standard for the USA .. The FCI follows the breed standard in Germany .. neither is correct or based on biology .. they are political standards. The FCI has no power to do anything in the USA now nor will it ever. There is no member of the FCI in the USA and the AKC does not need to join a weak organization run by the Europeans as a psuedo international fake breed standards organization.

ramgsd:
Unfortunetly the powers that be both USA and the GSDCA are to beholding to Europa to the point there afraid to rock the boat by offering a different title. The AWDF titles are actually good titles for working dogs but neither orginization will promoite them to any length. I,ve been working on the AWD 2 for my female Fiest and it,s a fun protection routine it,s the old DPO2.
