I am inclined to do as you say, Blitzen. In fact I always assusmed as you said that she was just a quieter, less pushy puppy. She is not particularly big boned, but not finely boned either...When I sold her I did not suspect anything was wrong. I think as breeders we have to take risks sometimes, if she is OK she will be a very nice dog. If not I will find a good home for her at a later stage...sorry I hijacked your post, klekoni, I hope your dog turns out to be fine too!

With a puppy at that age and possible hips being an issue, I would keep it off the stairs.

Swim your pup in a nice pond as the advice of a well known breed told me....and hips do change from 11 mos unless they are severly dysplastic....until 20 mos old, take all advise about slim, food and not supplements like calcium tablets, a no no., and exercise properly and read read and dont panic,...my exel hip female one of them, has always walked and run funny looking from rear, and the other ofa excel female sits sitways on her hips, called a lazy hip sit. which we now know we should have corrected how she sat, but no one we were training with knew that.....so do not panic.....yet.,,,
