Breed dogs that are pleasant to live with and that are what you find admirable in the GSD as a breed.  Breeding to please the general public, competition public, IPO public or people on this or any forum is a waste as most don't know what they want or have a worthy opinion.   I expect some of the pups will be more like the sire and some more like the dam.  Usually the people disappointed with a mating are those expecting something more than the sire and dam brought to the mating or some magical throwback.

Jakoda, I could only go with what the OP themselves wrote in their ad, which indicated that Ike is a UKC Champion and has his CGC. No mention of him being SAR certified, and it's not on his pedigree here, either.

Not sure I quoted right, just wanted to add, I don't believe that the breeder keeps up with adding titles/certifications here,  and do understand hexe, why you didn't see that. But yes he is SAR certified:)  and again, I know nothing of the combo:)

I know this is a rather old thread, wanted to set the record straight, apparently the OP doesn't own either of the dogs listed, Ike has gone back to his owner in seriously bad shape healthwise. He's recovering but it will take some time..All I will say publicly is the OP should be ashamed of herself and I wouldn't trust her with a dog..If anyone wants specifics feel free to pm me.

What would be really nice is to actually get one of the puppies after placing a deposit for one.

I placed a deposit with the breeder shortly after one of her advertisments on hoobly, at the time she seemed genuine. One of her females was on site and was a very pleasant dog. My son in law as apprenhensive after meeting the breeder and advised me to move on, guess he hit it right. If anyone else who also placed a deposit please contact me via private message.

On the upside once I realized that the chances of recieving a pup from this breeder were not very good I started looking around again, this has netted me a very smart 7 week old female. I look forward to many happy years with Lady Athena as a companion.

I always wonder why people think SAR is enough of a cert especially for a male.
