Last time I checked, they will only post results of normal/abnormal results if the dog is 12 months or older when taken.

Yep, that's what I thought. Has to be 12 mos or older even for a prelim. That's why I haven't bothered (unless suspecting a problem) to xray any younger than that.

And that is the only reason I did do the x-rays. I was hoping it would be published so others would know.
I am leaning towards agreeing to the refund as long as I can keep the dog. I know I am providing him the care he needs and sending him back scares me. What if he is this way due to not only genetics, but also environment? I don't want him to go back there. If they raised him for 10 months and didn't see what I noticed, how am I to trust that he will be taken care of back in their hands.
If they deny my offer, then I will stick with the contract, and fight them for a full reg puppy. I honestly want nothing more to do with this breeder or her dogs.
Oh, and here is the x-ray of my boy. (Yes, positioning could have been better, but would not have changed the results)

That sounds reasonable to me. I wouldn't send him back either. Good luck....................

Poor pup. He definitely needs to be in a special home to meet his needs. I hope you keep him and they hold up their end of the agreement.

Good news everyone!!!
Breeder has agreed to refund my money, along with allow me to keep him with proof of neuter. I am one happy gal!!! My pack can remain complete!!! (He's on the right)

Awesome news, indeed!!!
May I ask whether you had to get nasty or did they finally calm down and see the situation from your perspective once the initial upset passed?

In all honesty, I just responded to their request stating I didn't agree, and countered with what I felt was more "fair" and why. I did not express attitude, but remained firm. They responded with accepting my offer. Deal done. On paper anyways. :) I am having a celebration party tonight with my furballs. Hooray!!!

Excellent! Well played...no sense getting nasty until you need to get nasty. Plenty of cause for celebration!
He's a good looking boy, too. Has a very sweet expression.

One more thing...it's not in his best interest to be neutered now, this young. Neutering should be done after 2yrs of age to allow for proper growth, and in dogs w/joint issues, there is evidence to suggest neutering may actually be a detriment. If he were mine, I'd get him a vasectomy immediately so you don't have to worry about him accidentally breeding someone, and then leave him "intact" for the sake of his optimum health.
