There are some nice black males out there:
Buster vom Adelmannsfelder Land is a good one. Paul Zimmermann, Zwinger von den schwarzen Seeperlen has a nice male, Alex.
http://www.schwarzeseeperlen.de/alex.php
And I was really impressed with that black male from the 2005 NASS in Pittsburgh, Wanko vom Koesters-Eck.
Yes, it would be nice to see black dogs return to the show ring.
D>H> I put Santos in the search and did not get him I have Dieter who is out of Lords daughter and of course back to Blacky v Gleisdreieck....so I wanted to look at ur pedigree......maybe I did it wrong.....
Yellowrose, don't use the "vom" and santos Gleisdreieck name.
I made a mistake on Gringo--Orken was his grandsire, not sire. I checked my pedigree today and realized I had given out wrong info.
That worked wow Thats my kind of head...and u didnt waste any time getting him titled......Pirol v Enclavehof is my boys father so after Nel van't Enclavehof , my pedigree on that side is the same as yours....I was told thanks to Lord, is where my dogs hard drive came from....I thought Lord had excellent hips but it doesnt indicated that ....very handsome boy, !!!!!
My other boy that I just got , I just noticed looking at Gringo's pedigree goes back to Uran Wildsteiger Land and Seffe who produced Warro vom Huhnegrab and he was bred to someone else on my boys line...I have Uran WL in 0n 0f my other boys...along with all the Restrstrauch, GLockeneck, Larwin, Blitsaerd, Adeloga, Lahntal, and my favorite all the BuseckerSchloss's ...and Im beginning to like studying pedigrees, although it is very confusing.......
I know these dogs and have met Gus Levin a few times.
Ali vom Alpensee and Anika Bren vom Alpensee Schh1 CDX are both solid black.
I have pictures of both Ali and Anika Bren and some of Gringo here. I have to dig them up.
All three are solid black.
I also have some show records that I collected on Gringo here. Give me a some time, email me if interested and I'll shoot them to you.
Anika Bren vom Alpensee is owned by Donna Miceli http://www.dragoncrestgsd.com/
last I knew, Ali vom Alpensee is still owned by Gus Levin.
Gus Levin owned and campaigned V129 BSZS Gringo von der Philippsburg SchH3 Kkl 1
Brian DeBow
The only pictures of Ali vom Alpensee that I have somewhat located, so far is with myself walking her on lead in Oregon at the Willamette Valley Schutzhund Club's May 2003 Breed Survey and Trial. These are not stacked, show stance pictures. The pictures of me and Ali were taken by Gus Levin at the conformation show. Ali's littermate sister Anika Bren and her handler / owner / trainer Donna Miceli, trained with the Dublin Canyon Shepherd Dog Club in California. I have some pictures of Anika Bren and Donna training at the club. I was a member of Dublin Canyon Shepherd Dog Club. I moved to Virginia again, that fall, when Anika Bren had her litter I was still in transition and have kicked myself many times over not getting one of her puppies. Anika Bren, Ali, their sire Gringo and the whole family of dogs either from these dogs or closely related to them are indeed special and because of them, I too am quite a fan of the black dogs.
Psygod:I will email u when I get home, Im on my daughters laptop...too small for my fingers....I have an article about Gringo and Gus Ive saved....I did a little bit of research before I GOT MY black female...I admired the content of article about how people scorned him and all black dogs in the ring and on the trial field and in germany he was actauly booed when he put him in the first time He had another man/trainer do some as he was a german man...Ill try to get the artlcle where i can copy it....very interesting......
