The Kirkland lamb or chicken is not grain free.
I do agree that Blue Buffalo is a good food. I know alot of people that feed it and their dogs do well on it. It is a rich food so it does take some dogs a little bit to get use to it.
I use to like TOTW.... but one of my dogs got really sick on it and I ended up with a decent sized vet bill. Called TOTW and they did not care in the least. I will NEVER feed any food that is manufactored at Diamond.

I have a different take on Diamond. I think, due to their history, they may be a lot more diligent about sanitation and production conditions than other commercial manufacturers.
There is one indisputable fact - there is only one way to know what your dog eats - make your own dog food using only home grown ingredients. Otherwise, every time one opens a bag of kibble, one takes a calculated risk. Feeding raw guarantees nothing better as long as the source of the ingredients are purchased and not homegrown.

Jyl why do you think the food made only one dog sick, not all? TOTW should have been more interested in hearing about that.

GSDNewbie: were you aware that BilJac still has BHA as a preservative in their foods; all formulas... Thought I might bring it up to you. Really bad stuff. Nan

Oh, and our favorite Natural Pet Food store always has tons of free samples of all kinds of different grain-free foods for anyone to take... so each morning my girls (GSD and cat) get a little bit of a random food sprinkled on their normal food to mix it up a bit. LOL spoiled...
