Yeah, they don't even have to be uncomfortable, they obviously
just feel unnatural.
They can occasionally help, if you have a dog that is already
large but untrained & given to leaping around, sometimes they work
by convincing the dog that walking with you, instead of pulling
in front of you, is preferable for everyone. But if the dog doesn't
adjust p.d.q. and is still pawing at it by the end of the first walk /
lesson, I try something else. Although I have met dogs that did
seem okay with it, even to the extent of running around a few minutes
at home with it still on them, I think you are right Margaret in that
most don't really enjoy the experience. And if they are not well-
fitted, these halters (whichever brand) can be a real downer when
they interfere with the dogs' eyes etc. Far too many people these
days put them on their dogs from the get-go; there are zillions of pet
dogs out there who do not NEED a head-collar in the first place.
Plus, people couple them with extending leads ... ugh !

Let's not turn this into post about training. I still think that the producer of the movie or who ever is trying to make such program for TV or Sundance or what ever should be named and exposed for who s/he is. It is not enough to be careful with putting videos on YouTuble . These people needs to be fingered.
If you know who it is post it.
If you know who it is post it.

This will most likely never get made. The producers are still trying to get interviews with people that are easy gets. And to get shown at Sundance is almost impossible. You have a better chance of winning the lottery.
