Armed security doesn't work, hell there are videos and news stories of people walking into police stations and opening fire. Laughable.

Jesus GSD,
so what's your idea, for tomorrow morning?

Two Moons

I've never seen a police station with guards anyway.

If all firearms disappeared tomorrow, people would still kill others, individually and in mass.

I have seen banks robbed with armed guards and now you want to make schools prisons? Good luck with that move. An assault weapon would blow that guard away before he could draw.

Your so over simplified GSD.
Some schools have armed guards now, and metal detectors, many have built foyers that are used to screen entries.
Almost all schools have doors that open from the inside only.
All have alarm systems.
Many have video cameras.
Money decides who has what.

Our children have been getting short changed for years, while money flows everywhere else.
They are our future, our treasure, yet we can't afford safety and a quality education.
Federal one size fits all tests and regulations over teaching, yeah very productive when you compare our country to others on education.
They can't even feed them healthy well balanced meals anymore, I remember the smell of a cafeteria back when they actually had cooks and made lunch from scratch.
Not today though.

Moons,

I know schools have all these things and more. It will not stop the killing if every school had all these things.

GSD,
you cannot stop killing period, not with legislation, not with a prayer.
But you think we should just let our schools fend for themselves.
They are old and outdated, teachers substandard, our children aren't worth it?

If someone wants to kill, and the thought of death doesn't bother them, they can kill anyone with anything.

Now, how is it you would make our schools safer?
