Micaho,
Having a budget payment plan and the method of getting your readings, are not dependent on each other. Not in this savvy age.
I do remember our power company wanting to get us to voluntarily sign up for being in some kind of brown-out rollout plan if the powergrids were dangerously overloaded. They were giving away money vouchers. I declined, I wanted that to be my choice to decide what to powerdown.
The next interesting thing to note, was not too long after this overloading powergrid scare, everyone started to conserve energy, voluntarily. So much so, the electric companies used it as a reason to state their case for a proposed rate increase during their utility hearing. Good thing the powers that be, didn't buy that one!
Can you imagine if they had!

What is everyones average electric bill? Mine about 150.00 a month. And I conserve like crazy.

That is like a month in April or Sept.... only, lol.
