I'll say two things:

1) Now we have idiotic 2nd Amendment supporters wearing AR's into Target and the mall to prove a point.  Because they can, what  a bunch of morons.  We have had some scouting out our shopping malls and asking Police Officers about open carry laws.  I hope I meet them first because we have local ordinances about open carry of rifles.  We have regulations on the magazines allowed and types of rifles.  I'll confiscate the guns and send them off for every firearms test imaginable.  They will get their precious AR back (maybe) in about a year or so give or take several months and the court case is over.

2) We will never get all the guns off the street, there are simply to many guns out there.  I am all for stronger gun laws and tougher sentencing for those that commit crimes with guns.  I am also in favor of holding people responsible who allow their guns to be used in a crime.  If a teenager is able to take a parents gun and commit a crime, hold the parent responsible as an accessory after the fact.  If a parent fails to secure their guns and a child gets a hold of a firearm and accidentally shoots themselves or a friend; again hold the parent responsible.  If people can not be responsible enough to lock up their firearms and secure them properly they should be held accountable.  If some ones is irresponsible enough to leave a gun in their vehicle and it is stolen and used in the commission of a felony, well charge them too for not properly securing that weapon.  Perhaps then people will become more responsible with their firearms and not allow their children to have access to them.

That may save a kid or two when the morons who leave their guns accessible by other people are actually held accountable.

I agree in part, but we have laws now and people are held accountable now, at least in my state.

In my opinion a felony committed with a firearm should carry the death sentence.
I'm tired of paying to keep criminals in jail, feeding them educating them, so the the holy rollers can have their way.

I'll throw the switch myself for free.

Our legal system is a sham.
