Trixx here is another picture of a male shepherd in a shelter. I know it not a clear picture and this male is in CA but I thought I posted it just in case.

This dog looks like Teddy. It is amazing where lost dogs turn up.
This is another beautiful dog, thrown away.

I just talked to Bea, she said she will look into this dog and making calls to them and contacts she has in CA. I understand he is at a very busy, high volume animal control pound....which means they won't have the time to do a thorough check for microchip and probably won't take additional photos.
Is there a rescue or foster person who would be able to go to this pound and pull this dog asap? That would give better chance to identify if this dog is Teddy or not. (If it's not Teddy, then there would be the 'burden' of placing this dog into a home) But the sweet, sad look on this dog's face and the way he is sitting obediently in the middle of his kennel....he looks like he's a dog worth saving.
But I really think it looks just like Teddy in his photos.

Shelley's rescue in CA is pulling this guy... according to Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/#!/SutterButtesWorkingDogRescue
He was apparently turned in for not sleeping through the night? If anything, maybe she could do a microchip scan and see if this is Teddy or not.

The silhouette of the ears are very similar too..Its a long shot, but ya never know,,

Yep Ruger, thats what I thought too! the ear shape, the facial structure, the facial markings...looks like a match to me
Dawulf, what excellent news! Has Shelley seen this thread? Has someone talked to her yet? If a thorough scan for a microchip doesn't work, then perhaps they can take a DNA sample and see if it matches Teddy's DNA (I think his DNA profile is on record with AKC?)
