For the answers to your naming questions you will need to contact Microsoft to know why they name processes with these names, probably to scare people into spending money to fix them.

Experts? Which ones the geeksquad? Most computer stores are hardly experts, they may have knowledge but not to the expert level. They are in business to separate you from your money.

Well, it worked as far as getting my money. They also said the sheer numbers of events was a problem. That is also a good scare tactic, I suppose?  I had like 10 "Logon's" in a minute? Somebody in India, said they were a pro!  I think, I watched them do it. While I watched what they were doing, I thought, I could do most of that....

They made me think all the Errors needed to be "manually" addressed etc. and talked me into letting them "fix" the PC's. Said only they could delete all those errors or the geek squad at Best Buy... I wouldn't let them near the Macs. I think I did the right thing with that, at least.  ??

I have Malwarebytes, trial, I'll probably have to end up buying that, too, I suppose. I also have something else, PC cleaner? I think. And Stopzilla. Might even be Norton something buried in there somewhere? I thought I had Microsoft essentials? or something like that but they said I didn't. So I admit I am not the best PC person!

Get a firewall/anti-virus. I recommend zone alarm, http://usa.kaspersky.com and Norton. And buy the yearly subscription or these will do you no good after the trial runs out.

These people in India? GIVE ME A BREAK. Who knows what they did.

No, they call themselves, Premier Tech Service. And they left a "calling card". Says they'll stand by their "fixes".  
Except what you are saying, is they fixed a non-problem?   

I was so tired, and they knew it, too. Took advantage of me in a weakened state. 

Good thing as there is a group calling themselves the National Computer Security Center and they call wanting to do things to your computer.

They might have found some minor something and made it out to be worse, but if you have no protection, who knows.

I also recommend superantispyware as it keeps all the tracking cookies and other spyware off computers. There is a cost after the trial but it is a lifetime small fee.

I would get a good firewall and not the free AVG or one of the freebies. Stay away from Mcafee, also.

Hi Beetree, just a few links to show extent of SCAM, on the affected Computor it is now most important that ALL Passwords are Change, in Particular any Computor LOG-IN Password.

My I suggest that you and your Friend install a copy of "Lastpass", this will keep all passwords safe off your Computors but be ready to access from just one Master password, Installs on all Web Browsers

This may sound silly but do you know any Teenage Schoolboy Computor Whizzkid, he could probably sort you out, with only a Hug from your ample Bosom

No I can actually do this and have done it for lots of people but I never charge a dime so thinking I should start a part time business. BTW, I might laugh but it would only be in good natured fun. Because I am not the terrible person people make me out to be. Yes, I can be hardcore but I am a good person at heart.
