Mitchell92-

Did the breeder where you purchased your puppy from get an OFA certification on their dogs (I sure hope so)? If you know the registered name of the parents a quick search in the OFA database might clear all of this up real quick. Let me know if you need help.

Here is the link:

What does that have to do with his question about the idiot breeder and her bad back comments?

by Hutchins on 15 January 2012 - 17:01

Im not accusing anyone of anything, but the head on the bitch doesn't look like it belongs on the body.  The body appears to be ALOT bigger than the head. Maybe it is because the picture is bent, IDK.  But just to give my opinion on the OP, I believe that NO ONE can tell with 100% certianity that a dog has HD or not.  Also, I think the same issues can be in every bloodline regardless of which venue the purpose of the breeding is.

To the OP, Don't let what other's Think/Say influence how you Think/Feel about you dog!!

I probably have a sister to Blitzen's dog

Or rather a, Jenn78, "straight-backed  old Am. pet lines "

I based my litter choice on the Mother;
called about a Eastern Europe litter that
"could not see the mother, as she had been abused = bla bla bla

Litter I looked at was bred by a retired Military k9 handler
sl, top line back to Argus vom Klammle
    bottom to Fanto vom Hirschel

I knew nothing of pedigree
my son picked the puppy = runt, which is now one of those "over standard" bitches
intact, but not for breeding; sable
but I took the dog I had, watched her nerve, & trained her as a working dog (PP)
for my experience alone

& yes, she is an awesome dog, stable & clear headed.

the wl breeders refer to the sl as weak, fear biters ect
wl litters have Alot of "Sharp Shy"

A good dog is a Good Dog,
& as the Father of the breed stated:
NO GOOD DOG CAN BE A BAD COLOUR

I'm missing something. I don't see where the OP was being swayed by what anyone said. He simply told us what some "breeder" said about his dog's parents and asked for comments/discussion on that opinion.

I also don't see why the dogs themselves were brought into this and why their attributes are being discussed to this degree. The thread was about an asinine statement made by someone who obviously doesn't have enough education to be breeding.

I am not intending to be the devil here, but those pictures provided by the OP do not look the quality of year 2000 and above pictures/photos, they look like pictures taken in the eighties. The dogs themselves do not look like 2000 above models, they look like the dogs of seventies and eighties, I doubt these are the parents of a today's show pup. Sorry OP but I have a gut something is not right here in all of this. Why not share the pedigree!? some of the best breeders/trainers and dog owners are providing you their honest opinion, why hide the pedigree?!!! I find that extremely odd and not nice.

Yes, I did find the comment about killing machines funny, as I have a DDR dog that will run if you look crosseyed at it, and had a Czech dog that was very handler soft and the only thing it would kill was tires. So, if they were breeding killing machines, they failed miserably. I'd be happy to see where you got that information though from, as unlike some others, I have no problem admitting if I'm wrong.

My last comment to you jdiaz was not based on the killing machine part, but every post where you lose it when someone criticizes a showline, and become just like them.

@ Blitzen: it doesn't bother me at all if someone criticizes workinglines because I know some have their faults, I also know, every dog is different. I certainly do not take it personally. I do find some posts amusing though such as they are terrible family dogs and will eat children for lunch.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the absolute BEST dog I've ever had was an AM/GSL cross. Structure was very good, temperament was like no other. The closest dog to the standard that I have ever had.

She's beautiful Mitchell.

As long as you are happy with her, that is all that matters.
