It my not be a bad thing. I have a awesome showline x workingline. Works harder then most working line and looks better doing it

O..m..g I laughed my ass right off at that Show lines make love and working lines have sex comment I work at a brokerage firm and had a client on the line and literally had to rush and hit the mute button because I could not hold back the laughter. The client was like "did I lose you?"...Oh you did, for a minute there you did.

If this bitch whelps a litter and the pups are not DNA'd for parentage and if it can be confirmed that she was serviced by 2 different males, the registering organization needs to be informed. This isn't about whether or not it would be a good breeding, it's about registering the litter correctly so buyers don't get scammed.

In this case I'm sure it won't be a good thing.

I'd like to see anywhere that a showline improves the look of a workingline.  I just can't imagine it. laugh  Structurally I mean.  It may give more bone, size, and coat.

Of COURSE she's gonna get pregnant! That's the way it goes:

You plan your breeding carefully, research sire and dam going back 6 generations, and check for every imaginable genetic defect. When the female finally comes into season, you spend money on checking her progesterone levels every second day.

When the magic number arrives, you arrange for the frozen sperm to be couriered to the vet's office. The sperm is inserted using a laparoscopic camera so you are absolutely sure it gets into the womb...

and several weeks later you find out you've got nada, zippo, but a HUGE vet bill.  :(

A few weeks after that, the bitch develops pyo, and has to be spayed.

Then, you have a young bitch that hasn't been OFAd yet or had any other testing done.

A 12 month old male manages to jump the fence, or someone leaves the wrong door open for a few seconds too long, and before anyone can do anything, he's jumped aboard and tied with her.

You get a litter of 12 healthy pups!

Yep. Murphy was an optimist!!

She could get pregnant twice. Two litters inside, with two placentas. Happened to my buddy's viszla. She bred to another Vizsla and a lab got to her. She had 2 mixed pups in one birth sack and 4 Vizsla pups in another.

Two moons: Technically the one sperm one egg thing doesn't always fly. It's possible that she could get pregnant twice. Likely that she won't, but it's possible. I said it was bullshit til it happened to my buddy's dog, and I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't witnessed the birth. Two different birth sacks, two different placentas, two different sires.
