The US and Canada are probably the largest schutzhund countries, geographically.    From east to west, you'd have to fly through at least five time-zones.  It would be a five-hour flight just to cross the Pacific Northwest region east to west.  Any wonder that it takes a lot of dedication and grit to participate in this sport in the Western Hemisphere?

People like Kevin Namce, and Ravi Iyer are sterling examples of the best of our sport in this part of the world.

"Doorstep" to me would be just driving 45 minutes each way.   I consider that "in my backyard," compared to the distances I've trekked over the years.  Oh, if only....

Hey, Karen, It sounds like you and I have the same "problem.". I can appreciate the call to not trial. Since last year at Cascade Schutzhund, Vandal has become far too trial savvy in being shown too many times. Happy training and looking forward to seeing Griff when he's ready. Kevin Nance
