Starr, that is what I have been trying to tell her aaalll allooonnnngg, thousands of dollars later she e-mails me and probably still wont listen.  When she first e-mailed me I freaked out because this was my foundation bitch, my service dog, the love of my life well, I am not the love of her life she just got done weaning but she still thinks I am a human vending machine!

(This long story is being repeated because it has a moral to it)

She had a lot of trouble with her last pregnancy, she had 4 pups on her own with no problem but she was ignoring her pups, checked her temp it was way too high then the warning signal hit, her gums were turning white, my mother had just left to get some stuff for her I chased her down the street and told her she needs to go now, she was so sick a regular emergency vet couldn't do it, her blood levels were horrid (She stopped eating 2 weeks before which isn't like her so I took her in, I wanted bloodwork and an ultrasound done, doc said no need she was fine, I insisted, he assured me she was okay.  I wasn't convinced because I'm paranoid and at that time I was out of most of my supplements, I ordered everything I normally use) She had to be sent to a Specialist Center she was so sick, over $200 just to walk in the door, unreal.  On the way to the vets I pulled a puppy out of her canal he was fine, as we were pulling up to the specialty center they looked at me like I was disgusting (Yes I sterilized my barehands and stuck my fingers inside of my dog to get the puppy out, and had blood all over my hands, what of it?) I told them there was another one inside and he had no sac and that he had to be removed NOW, or he was not going to make it, when we got there I felt a heartbeat, they wouldn't let me do my job and save the puppy, insisting I didn't know what I was talking about, said the pup could still breathe (I hate that nonsense, these girls were morons, seriously) they fought me not to get him out, 10 minutes later when they "had time," they pulled him out, no sac, no oxygen, no cord, like I said, they took him to another room for like 20 minutes (mind you Lexi is dying) they came back and said I owed them over $200 for trying to save the puppy but they wouldn't touch Lexi, except to put around 6 towels on the floor so the blood gushing out of her didn't get their floor dirty, it was so sad...Lexi is a smart dog she knows when someone is trying to help her, all I could see in her eyes was a plead for help and her eyes glazing over, I have never felt so hopeless in my life, after a while they actually told me that I should just take her home and make her as comfortable as possible until she passes,  A LOT of people don't believe that the vet and techs were literally watching her die and would do nothing for her and said it might be time to go home, this went on for hours I called everyone I knew, finally found an angel.  I had made a post about this the average C-Section costs $500-$600, I had between $800-$900 just incase and it was a weekend so I couldn't access the money I had in check form, it ended up costing around a little over $3,0000 between both vets and they had her on a very high dose of Clavamox, they didn't anticipate her survival, 10% or less they said to my mother, but not to me because of how hysterical I was, but I heard them talking about saving the puppies, never once did they mention saving her.  You want to know what saved her?  (Not sure if you are religious but I know God played a part)supplements...the supplements I give my dogs, bitches and puppies everyday except that one time saved her life...it enabled her body to fight the bacteria, infection and give her energy to stay alive, I was able to take her home that night, they told me she'd be extremely weak, she pranced beside me screaming lets go home! they don't know how she survived, the

they said her red cell count would be very low for at least 2 weeks and may require a blood transfusion, and her gums would be pale for several weeks, took her home, she was tired, I didn't let her feed right away (my mom and I are disabled but we can walk) as always I am clumsy, dropped my darn chap stick, she heard it drop and tried her fastest to reach it before I did...near death experience and she wanted to do her job out of love, the following morning I allowed her in the pen (everyone did milk to get that good colostrum) Took her to the vet 3 days later, her gums were perfect color, blood cell was perfect, they had no explanation for such a quick recovery. I still wonder what caused this and if the know it all vet had just done the blood work it may have shown up and her suffering could have been prevented. She ended up having a total of 11 healthy puppies...my first stillborn in 6 years.

Please don't try to argue this, I've already heard "you should have had $3,000, blah blah" I love her more then anything...I never meant for this to happen, I learned my lesson, Alexa is 5, only had 3 litters...sure I could breed her again, make money Hey, I don't get SSD yet, getting close to filing but no way in heaven or hell am I going to risk her life by breeding her again out of greed but out of love...I will find the perfect female from her litter in hopes this puppy she will surpass her Dam...she has to be in there because I need Alexa, she wont live forever and I will need a daughter that is as sweet and badass as she is.

So the moral of this story is, all of the dogs that have been helped using (QUALITY) supplements, prevents bloat, cancer, slows down aging, saved my dog's life and so much more when it's SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN and it's so cheap even for multiple doggs, I have almost 20 dogs.  Ask yourself...is it really, truly worth the risk of your dog's safety for such a small price? I stand by these supplements and more 100% because I know it to be true, my dogs are healthier, my pups are, my friends dogs are, I pretty much never take my dogs to the vets they don't get sick and they die (knock on wood) at an old age still acting like a puppy.

Starr, what brand of Probiotic do you use? I used to use Problos but Miracle Probiotics seems better. Sorry for yet another novel.

von haryasymtzuk,

No apology needed for your story about Alexa and her pups.  Wow, what a horrible experience you went through with your Alexa! So glad she is ok and that her birthing days are over. It is clear that you love her very much.

As for what probiotic I use for my dogs, right now I'm using Jarrow FOS.

The best,
Char
