Hey Tom you may want to check this out: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/belgian_malinois/forum.read?mnr=111492
As well I've had bitches and males that I never bred as I didn't feel they met the standards...Teja has been bred 3X as I only got her at 6 yrs of age...wish I could turn back time...If I thought her first litter was 'average' I never would have rebred her and certainly not held back 3 pups...not when I had a choice of 6 other females...I kept a male and female out of her last litter...both hard and driven with amazing bites and high thresholds...their littermates are all working in the programs selected for and owners couldn't be happier...All are doing ScH or FR and one is doing PSA. I have her last litter on the ground now and plan on keeping the female--how could I not with all that she's brought to the table as a breeding bitch...I just wish I could have bred Jason to her! They would have complimented each other perfectly...although they probably would have been a 'bit much' for most people...The lines go so well together that this has become my second 'golden cross' lol (Jason and Asstra being my first).
Again I would seriously consider Vulcain. Don't settle for second best and Rick is very reasonable with his stud fees and terms. It's definitely a breeding that I would consider personally. Please keep me posted! :)

To Duderino: I don't know who you are...but just trying to understand where and how you know this guy 'Rick'...do you know him personally or is this all hearesay?...I've googled him and he's done an awful lot for the breed and FR and now the ARF...can you give some specifics when it comes to you saying that he's dishonest and one can't trust him?

Yeah Dude, or Phil or whatever your name is, how about some facts? Slander is easy when you hide behind a screen name.
To the OP everybody has an opinion unfortunately people on here tend to exaggerate dogs, both good and bad qualities. Usually they exaggerate the bad when they don't own the dog and the legend grows when they do own it. Like the dog named Toro who is in Illinois, lots of rumors of him having a heart condition that made obtaining his ring 3 very difficult. Rumor or fact, I don't know but it could also be a handling issue or a nerve bag, or a dog that's too strong LOL. It's easy for anybody to talk shit.
As for Jason, NICE DOG! Haters love to hate but if Duderino was "competing" against Rick Rutt there's a good chance his dog competed against Jason and came up short so you can see where he's coming from. Feelings get hurt and egos get crushed at times :)

If you read what I posted, I mentioned no dogs by name. I did in fact mention, that no matter how you feel about the owner, it shouldn't change the opinion you have of the dog. I did ask the OP what type of dog he was trying to produce and what he was missing from his female that he would like to improve. I did not bring up anyone's name as a point of topic but responded to a statement made by someone else with my own opinion. If you believe different, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. Please show me where in this topic I mentioned a particular dog's name and traits whether good or bad? As a rule, I try not to develop an opinion of a particular dog unless I have either seen it, or worked it. I always love the way people chirp about how strong (or weak) a dog is when they have NEVER seen it work or NEVER actually worked it themselves and in many cases, were never into the sport (or dogs for that matter) when that particular dog was campaigning. Don't tell me how strong a dog is/was unless you stood in front of it and actually worked it.

Good point dude, since I have got the chance to work Vulcain, Jason, and Toro; I agree with you. You should use your same methods of not talking about dogs you barely know and apply that to people as well! Especially people you have barely ever had dealings with. It's called slander unless of coarse you actually have something that is true and can be proven. If you have a better dog I'm sure many here would love to see it, who knows maybe the OP would want to breed to it!

As I have already stated, I do have personal experience and my opinions are my own, take them for what they are worth. Please show me in my prior posts on this subject where I mentioned a dog, it's work, it's temperament, it's grip, it's jumping ability, it's health, the length of it's nails or the fact that it was in need of a bath? In fact, I never mentioned the use or the preference of ANY dog, I asked the OP what his plan and expectations were for his future breedings. Usually people like you that have 5 posts in two years have an agenda when they jump into the fire and that jump is based on the fact that they own a dog from a particular person or related to a particular dog.

As I thought, you did breed to Vulcain. Things that make you go hmmmm.
by Mr Tim on 21 June 2011 - 17:06
Did you have business dealings with Rick or just meet him once? Cause anything else is hear say! So Tell us YOUR EXPERIENCE with Rick since you don't mind talking about people.
In the words of Fred Hassen, Show us your dog, things that make me go Hmmm!
By the way, I really don't care about your opinions of dogs, I do care about how you talk about people you don't know!
by Mr Tim on 21 June 2011 - 17:06
By the way the sports are about the dogs until chatty Cathie's like yourself want to talk about people. Egos are what cause trouble in dog sports and people who like to spread rumors and BS instead of focusing on the dog, like you have a tendency of doing.

Apparently you are the one who likes to play Post Office. Let me explain in words you can understand, I SIMPLY SAID THAT I DON'T LIKE THE MAN OR TRUST THE MAN, PERIOD. My personal experiences with the man are my business and not yours, you want to take warm showers with the guy you go right ahead. Personally, I'd check for all of my fingers after shaking his hand.
On the original note, why don't you tell the class why you bred your dog to Vulcain since no one here really knows who you are? Tell people what you do with your dogs and what type of dog you like to produce? What does the female that you bred to him bring to the table and what did he add that made it better?
If you look at the other posts, and I'll remind you here since reading comprehension doesn't seem to be your strong suit, I ASKED THE OP WHAT ATTRIBUTES HE/SHE WAS TRYING TO BRING OUT IN A BREEDING. I'M NOT THE ONE THAT BROUGHT UP ANYONE'S NAME HERE. So stick with the subject matter, if you can.
