Maybe I'm just missing it here but I don't see any show dogs running down the street biting the bad guy!

Frankm205, I don't believe this guy's pedigree is workingline. Nobody in the dept doubted that he would tag someone. He had numerous surrenders, had he been a weak teddy bear that would not have been the case.

Point being they are out there, not as common as their workingline cousins because of breeder focus but not a mythical creature either.

I have both showlines & working lines, & my showline bitch is a harder dog than my working line male. I haven't done much with them, so I guess most of you would say that means I don't really know, but I can tell you my girl would have been impressive, if her dumb owner would have had the knowledge at the time to take where she should have gone. Today at almost 7 she's still a ball of fire....!!! God bless the idiot that tries to sneak up on me when we're out together! jackie harris
I wanted to add that I watched a video of a schutzhund event with showlines that was pathetic, so I know that stinkers abound. That video made me appreciate how truly terrific my bitch is, & how deeply I regret not training her for what she would have excelled at. jh
