Well said Dopplegnger!
If you dont like the rules you could, as Penny suggests, use the alternative regional shows however, the problem as I see it is that KC have something no one else has that we want..... ie CC's. Regardless of what we might say they DO matter, and whilst ever thats the case then KC can have whatever rules and enforce them:(

Doppelganger,
Could you tell me what shows you were refering to, and if they were Germanic or Alsation type shows. Also I see you didn,t answer all my points.
Zac,
Your correct, CC,s are more important to some people than the future of the breed, and that is why imo the quicker CC,s are gone the better

I have been and fully intend to continue to attend both! If I had to make a choice... it would be our SV style events, no contest imo. All breed shows (inc Crufts) are bloody dreary anyway; except for the stalls! The rings are too small and they are invariably haunted by half the KC's "police", randomly accusing people of DH.
Yes, rules are there for a reason, however, it's high time they were amended and made "fit for purpose"! If showing at an "all breeds" show, I agree that DH should be a no no! At Breed shows, allocated areas for DH are brilliant and they WORK!
My guess is, that you're referring to the Sth Western Ch show Dopple? Not exactly "our" side of the fence, but we enjoy what WE do and it harms no-one, when properly regulated... which it largely is.
We want to show our dogs they way they're shown throughout Europe and the rest of the world. End of!

doppelganger.
What a load of tosh, you obviously are from the alsationist side of things.when i happen to accidently see one of your shows most of the dogs look comotosed with ears on the floor and no get up and go.
as for the kc.all these breeds that entice their dogs with titbits are doing the same thing as double handling aren't they ? of course they are !!
any one know the Clyde show results please.

Pencil.I can assure yu that Doppleganger IS NOT AN ALSATIANIST.This person actually has a gsd, which i will classify as middle of the road, and it is out of a TOP WINNING MALE.Hope yu dont mind me mentioning this Dopplegander but honestly ppl.when someone DOES NOT AGREE with wot is being said on this board it is always assumed that it is an ALSATIANIST.WHY?Even alsatianists have young pups at their own breed shows and yes even KC gen.open shows.BTW I went to an open show to watch this w/e.and there was a beardie pup there that only looked about 3 to 3 and half months ols.we,ve all done it.Actually i do agree that it should be allowed and as i said on page 1,i thought it was allowed at shows as long as pup 4 months and entered NFC.I think the breed club show mentioned was not SWGSD as i was there and this person was not.Carole S.
