Muldoon, it's not your comments I'm referring to. Mobjack clearly did not read anything that I wrote. I hate when I ask a pretty simple question and then people like Mobjack start giving condescending advice based on things I didn't say.

I'm genuinely not looking for myself. I payed $1800 plus shipping for my dog and I'd drop the same amount again or more for a similar dog any day of the week. Pedigree is important to me as well. It's hard to justify paying such a high price to a GS newbie who doesn't even know what Schutzhund or prey drive means. But everyone who loves Germans had to go through that learning process!

My problem is that I have a low tolerance for bullshit and when people act like idiots I struggle to let it go. I've actually gotten quite a few responses from people so I'm going forward their numbers on to my friends and hopefully things will work out for them.

Alirod, No hard feelings at all. I can't comment on anyone's elses comments but you two were getting heated and you were so defensive I just wondered of it was the written word which was the problem, none of us know each other and it's easy to get annoyed, but I haven't analysed the posts so JMHO. That's good you got some numbers. I wish them well. I don't know enough from your posts but I wonder if they would be interested in showline at all? I'm biased, have a great one, and I'm a mountaineer/camper. He is still young but I am wishing his youth away until I can get him up some bigger hills. For now it's smaller baby hills..................

Very well, in the interests of not splitting hairs, which I did say I was not going to do, I will concede the point. I pretty much did call you a jackass. In fact, I will come right out and say it. You are a jackass.

At first, your remarks did not seem to be directed toward me personally but more towards everyone who had responded to your original post.

Your first comment: Wow I guess you guys aren't really reading too carefully.
Your second comment: Honestly the level of education on this forum is generally abysmal.

Since then, you've refined those statements to admit they were directed toward me personally and you admit you did throw out the first insult. You said I have a poor level of reading comprehension, have called me condescending, idiot, uneducated and made a slanderous statement against what you assumed to be my heritage. All because I have the nerve to tell you what you did not want to hear and question your judgment and the wisdom of trying to talk someone into a pup they may not really want, just because you think it's what they should have. Not a very good way to go about asking for help now is it? Still I have wished you and your friends well.

And no, I'm very sorry. I'm too much of an old fart to have a degree from Phoenix Online. I earned my degrees before there was such a thing and did it the old fashioned way at a 4 year university.

You said your dog is your first German Shepherd. Good for you, I hope you have many more.
Now then, I have over 30 years experience with working dogs, nearly 20 with German Shepherds. I do not breed because I believe there are far better breeders out there than I could ever hope to be. I have been a member of this board for many years and readily state there are people here with far more knowledge than I have in genetics, health issues, training and bloodlines. You are not one of them.

If you want to insult me further, go ahead. Do you really think I care? Or do you think I'm enjoying watching you make a fool of yourself?
