VM.... You know that the shelters think everything is a GSD.... LOL

I see the mother of this dog's father is from Valiantdale. Valiantdale kennels has been around a long time. They specialize in black and silver GSDs. They are one of the very, very few American kennels that are Lance-free. Their foundation stock was linebred on Yoncalla's Mike, with some Bodo v. Lierberg blood as well. More recent dogs have been outcrossed to German show and working lines. The owner does schutzhund, however, I have heard some negative things about her dogs' temperments (too sharp/aggressive) and soundness. Also, a female of hers wound up in rescue last year (with Steph of Montana GSD Rescue) and she wouldn't take the dog back because she was expecting FOUR LITTERS!!!  The dog was totally unsocialized, and no one but its owner could go near it. (The owners were to blame for the lack of socialization.)
