Dawn G. Bonome

by Dawn G. Bonome on 30 November 2009 - 01:11

Just heard from the Vet. (6:30 pm Chicago time.) She is keeping food down, but now has diarrhea. She will be checking in on her later on tonight.
She is devoted to the animals in her care. It's also a good thing that she lives very close to her Animal Hospital, so she can check in on her patients.

That's a nice vet that checks in on Sunday night.

Dawn, I know the wonderful care you have always given her,  all of your dogs...You know I am praying  for her always...

Dawn did leave me a message on my cell phone. I choose not to call her directly due to 'issues' that we have had. I did send an email - I guess she must have forgotten, much easier to bad mouth me.
I feel terrible for Lexie as she is a really great dog and I certainly hope she recovers. This is the first dog I have bred with this problem and I am sure it has not been easy. We can only hope she is home again soon.

If someone does not have this concerning their dog, they have no clue. NO... it has not been easy.

YES... BEAUGSD, there have been issues in the past between you and I, and YOU HAVE BAD MOUTHED me ALSO, so let's set the record straight!  There was no e-mail sent, because I DID NOT RECEIVE IT! AND also let people know that you have told me, you were sorry you sold me Lexie, and that she would have been better off being put to sleep because of the EPI! I have her for  a reason, and I am giving her a GOOD LIFE, and gave her a CHANCE.  Well...if she does not recover, you have gotten your wish!

Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers from the previous posters! I will keep you posted!

no i agree with you there Dawn.it is not easy having people look at your dog and then giving one the look that says DONT YOU FEED YOUR ANIMAL.I remember the looks i got at the vets from other people when ive taken oldies in who have lost a hell of a lot of weight in a short time(due to cancer)and knowing that the resultant outcome is that they wont be coming home .i also agree with one poster,i didnt think you could get EPI later on in life.gunner was nearly 7 when he was diagnosed.hope she,s home soon Dawn.thinking of you both.

Hey Noddi!

There was no more loose stools overnight, but they will keep Lexie just one more day, to make sure that all is well. If everything is AOK, she will be home on Tues!

Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers!
