I had one years ago that I thought could care less If I was even around until he got sick then it was just me and only me. I was glad to find out before he went to rainbow bridge that I was important in his life.

He is a gorgeous puppy!
Give him a little time.  Pretty soon you won't be able to keep him off you!

You have not given him time to settle in and you are expecting too much from him
He seems to be an intelligient litlle fellow. Nothing wrong with him at all
get him to bond with you
Feed him from your hand only nothing in a bowl just put some kibble about 6 to 8 pieces in the palm of your hand at a time let him eat everything he has from your hand then you will see a different Pup in  about 10 days time carry on this for 2 weeks
That is Called Bonding and getting the Pup to realise that it is YOU who keeps it safe and feeds it and only you at this point should feed it if you are going to handle it once it has done the time eating from your hand you can then feed from its bowl and even then take some kibble from it whist it is eating and let him have it from your hand, NEVER tease the Pup when doing this the food is his
