They are doing the very best that they can at this time.  That said it is not conclusive.  Better than not having a test but too many people are getting different results.
Desertstorm, which test did you do that picked up Tess's DM was it the DDC test or the OFA test.  Just curious more than anything.

hello Brynjulf,   I am always open for suggestions since this has beensuch an educational, yet a heart breaking experience for us. If we "ever" should breed our new dog's, we are not the one's anybody should point the finger at for ruining the GSD or Belgian Malinois breed with DM, Cardio, Thyroid, Hips/Elbow, Uric Acid DNA Test Hyperuricosuriaect, MDR 1, EPI ect or any other test we feel or advised should we run on our dog's.   My wife and I would only breed, if from the time we test that they would be the most current and accurate test's on the "market to date" as sold by the company that will back them up. I find it rather odd that more then 1 test would show a DM carrier or affected a DM gene has been detected. Now to what length and to what damage will happen in the future is still unsure.   Thus speaking, this is why we don't want to breed anything but N/N DM gene's. They are out there since our new pup is cleared by sire & dam.  We hate to hurt anybody feelings but she is to be tested as well, regardless of her sire & dam's N/N result's. Let's say just for fun, I would be "proud to show that certificate off as a responsible breeder". We want to hold my head up high knowing we are here to better these breeds.   We would rather test, and be safe then sorry. Even if this means to test with more then one company. Now I have noticed there is a third DM DNA test site. If need be, I would rather test with all three companies. How hard is it really to find the DM DNA in the gene test when more then one claim's the gene is there let alone a third one?   I feel if more then one DNA test shows the gene, then it must be there. They just don't know for sure about the end results without tracking these dogs right up until the day they die of this horrific dieses that take a toll on your emotions, your pocket book and most important what about the victim, the said dog with DM? Our intention's are not to hurt anybody but to educate and only breed approved genetic quality breeding stock.       TESSA VOM HIDDENHAUS: German Shepherd Dog DOB 1/2007 ( awesome over the top GSD ) DAN VON DER ADELEGG X PARA VON DER WANNAER HOHEN     DDC DNA DM test results  A/A OFA DNA DM test results N/C         MACE'S ODA: Belgian Malinois DOB 09/2011 ( very sweet and loving pup! ) JASTA NVBK 19786 BK 5 X Sch III, IPOIII, 3 X FH  X  JAVELIN NVBK 1128 WR ( AKA SONGO )     DDC DNA DM test results  N/C   May I take the time to educate you, if you don't mind? Please look up and study the following:     Animal DNA Testing Services  put in your GSD & Malinois breed in suggested testing.     Dog Testing - Canine Genetic Testing  a new one for us, found on PDB     Orthopedic Foundation for Animals the norm that everybody knows.     Brynjulf , all three are "TOOLS" to help us breed not to the "standard" but to help us make better choice's in our quest for better breeding stock (and aka "kennel blindness") to promote and preserve this majestic breed's. Now what kind of breeder would I be, or anybody else for that matter if we choose not to use them?   Enough said for today, I have some work to finish. Thank you Brynjulf, for your time.   " DesertStorm3115"
