For too long fanciers of the SV type, both working and show, have spewed vitriol about the American ring and have not lifted a finger to change it. For years I've taken my dogs big AKC events, like the IKC in Chicago, because for one, I love obedience and rally, and two, I have always felt the German type needed ambassors in AKC venues. In particular at the IKC my dogs always draw a crowd, and even the average Joe cold see how different my GSDs were in look and demeanor.
As the saying goes, be the change you want to see in the world. Rather than keep a hateful mindset to the AKC and GSDCA (yes, we all know what the American GSD has become), I think people need to get in there and push for change through sheer numbers- or stop complaining if the cause is so lost.
By the way, another german dog that was AKC pointed (don't know if he ever finished) was VA Bobby v Sigurdstrum. I seem to recall a Christinen Brunnen bitch placing remarkably well at the IKC one year, too.

I think a littermate to your Danny son was shown at the shows Dog1 was talking about. Here's a link to one of the shows. The others are on the infodog website too; I believe there were 5 shows all together.

I like the combination of ASL x GSL. My dog is 3/4 ASL x 1/4 GSL is an AKC champion, has her BH, her RN and will be trialed for her AD next month and probably her CD too. I like to mix it up LOL.

Hey Congrats Randy!
I also will be interested in the list as I'm sure many others are too. Vogue did OK in the 2 AKC shows she was in, but like you said there really was not many others there. Biggest thing I found is that there is so little room to let them gait!!
And of course that is of utmost importance.

I am happy to see there are others now showing in the AKC ring with the German Showlines. So please wish us luck this weekend in St. Joseph, MO as we have entered 4 dogs in different age groups. We have discovered some really very nice people at these venues and some very interested people in not only the American Showlines but our German Showlines as well. My only wish is that the ring was a bit larger, as it is hard to get the proper gait in the small rings.
