Sunsilver- I sent you a PM with the url for the kennel's website.
I think kennels that understand working breed dogs spread through word of mouth- it's how I found the kennel that I use and I've recommended it to a few grateful friends. I'm not sure how you find out about them otherwise.
Melissa- Your dream kennel sounds fabulous!

50x50? Is that feet or yards? The pea gravel area we use to turn out our personal dogs is about that size, and it sure isn't big enough to give them room to really stretch their legs! For that we either turn them loose on the 2 acre property under close supervision, or put them in the new 4000 sq. foot secure play area (angle brackets on the top, and the chain link is buried 1 ft. in the ground.)

It's fee, but that part I'm not sure about yet. Honestly I'd like it to encompass the whole kennel area (just in case we have a houdini :) so would probably be 70X 80 but it will be shaped funny. I can imagine it in my head but having a hard time describing it. The property is on 8.5 acres, so no shortage of room. I'm trying to talk hubby into goats for herding and maybe a horse or 2 he he he... but the entire property will eventually be fenced in (field fence on the back and nice fence on the front) so really, I could take a dog out to play fetch and not really worry about them going anywhere. Or more likely, other dogs/critters coming in. I've been told there is an abundance of skunks in the area :( There's even a small creek that flows through the back half of the property too. There are loads of possibliities, which is what I like.
