15 Trillion Dollars
$15,000,000,000,000- Unless the U.S. government fixes the budget, US national debt (credit card bill) will topple 15 trillion by Christmas 2011.
Statue of Liberty seems rather worried as United States national debt passes 20% of the entire world's combined GDP (Gross Domestic Product).
In 2011 the National Debt will exceed 100% of GDP, and venture into the 100%+ debt-to-GDP ratio that the European PIIGS have (bankrupting nations).

Great illustration Ibrahim. I think it's safe to say Jesus didn't advocate taxation without representation. So yes, I'd say he was political.

What do you think Simon ? LOL

Wow Ibrahim, those are great illustrations.  It really sheds  light on this mess.  Darn scary.  It seems hopeless and insurmountable.

One thing about the US, it will come back as we are not a active nation, but reactive. We have always stepped up to the plate when pressured to. We have fed the world when they had no food, all with never being paid for it. For years we were the worlds banker and protector with little gratitude. This is not rocket science whats going on here and you don't have to be real bright to find a solution to our problems. Stop funding these bogus wars all over the world, start shared taxation ie, get rid of the Bush tax breaks for the wealthy, and stop all the extreme fanatics in our goverment that are being bought and sold by big money.

It is time to lay hold of faith, and to build up your confidence in the Lord through diligent prayer and the study of Gods word.  Otherwise, the events that are coming upon the world are going to totally swamp you.  Our forefathers werent confused by all the storms that came upon them.  They knew God would faithfully make a way for them.

Oh please.............
God save us.

I'm sorry gouda but I don't believe that's gonna fix what is to come.
It may very well give you comfort in the end, but the end will still come.

Oh, and which god are we talking about here?
Yours?

Moon.

Hi moons

 The end will come,cant wait.

God will not allow his people to go anywhere but to him for counciel and directions. Any placings of confidence in the ungodly who scoff at his word is concidered wickedness.

Thank God the light in that darkest hour is going to rise in the christians hearts, and its going to shine brighter than ever.

This thread was an obvious setup from the onset.

If the entire human species was all of the same mindset things perhaps would be different, but would the world really be a better place?
I don't think it would be.

I do not intend to get into the religious debate with you.

If you want the world to be a better place then look at what is the real problem.
Too many have died over these beliefs about gods to make your arguement.

Your god does have the right answer, remove man from the earth.

Still waiting for the rapture.

The fact that many have died over religion, to me, proves that is what the real problem is.  To many things in the Bible coming true for it not to be the Word of God.

There is only one God, and then there is  a wannabe that is down here on earth trying to divert everyone from knowing the one and true God.  That I am sure of, however, I am not at all sure there is a rapture.  I think we are all in it for the long haul, and that the rapture is just another deception the wannabe is throwing at the believers to deceive them.  When the rapture doesn't happen many believers will also turn from God.

(*Gouda, if you get the chance, read " Whose Right it is", by Kelley Varner.  Interesting read.)

- I know you don't agree with me Moons, and that is cool, but I'm curious what or who you do believe in?  Is it just the obvious signs of this world that have you convinced we're doomed, or something else too?
