How bout discussion just be limited to what a few think appropriate.

oh wait, that's been tried by some before.

or how bout control freaks try and limit their activity to discussions they find enjoyable.

oh wait, if they could do that, they would no longer be control freaks.

or how about everyone just take whatever positive they can glean from or contribute to the GSD community and not get so wrought up over what someone else does.

oh wait, we wouldn't be human if we could do that.

Any dog can be driven and whatnot, and until you actually know and handle the dog, I don't see what gives you the right to bash it.

My first GSD, Dallas, was an awesome dog. She was drivey, and protective, and I have no doubt that if I had the means at the time, she would have excelled at Schutzhund or any kind of sport for that matter, and I bought her for $25 as a 6 wk old pup in the paper. She was my dog, and she knew it, therefore she listened to me and me alone. If anyone else gave her a command, she would give them that blank stare, but if it was me, she'd do it in a heartbeat. She was a bit high-strung and people would see that and say "Well she needs--" this and that. A lot of people said she'd be best suited as a farm dog, until they saw our relationship, and how well we worked together, and respected each other. Kind of those 'don't judge a book by it's cover' deals.

One man is given credit for creating the most popular breed of dog in the world today.

Over the past 100+ years. there have been individuals who have single handedly shaped the direction of the breed in both Germany and the U.S.

Good or bad for the breed, they did it by the force of their will and personality. Not by complaining about what some else was doing.

A few here see themselves as the successor to Max. But they want to accomplish it by telling others what to do and what is correct. Not by presenting their own idea of perfection for the world to judge.

So dude, I guess this is what I am asking. If you want to set the rules as to what a GSD should be, just what the f**k have you done.

Rik once again, you are looking at the world through German Shepherd eyes.  To quote Captain Nemo, "I walk a different path".  The problem I have is that pet people like yourself throw terms around like they are loose change and they really have never even SEEN dogs of that type much less owned them.

This is exactly what I'm saying

If the dog is as unbelievable and perfect as you say, WHY IS HE FOR SALE?  Certainly the 15 and 20 second clips don't show a damn thing.  Why wear a suit if you are going to stuff the outside of your forearm in the dog's mouth?  Use the pants, give him a leg bite, use the inside of the arm and chest, open up or give Adrian back his suit and just use a sleeve.

Dude, thanks for the link! I'm extremely, over the top impressed. How much do they want?

by Duderino on 09 April 2011 - 00:04

I'm extremely unsure, maybe we should ask these 2 guys.

Those clips are OK, I have seen better, but also wors. but the B&H is way tooooo short for me to judge. I like about 30 seconds to be able to see the dogs stamina, determination  and constant drive if not increasing with time..then it is excellent!!!
Not sayin this dog is bad, but the clips show nothing much to judge. Also I cant stand the sleeve presentation of a Suit. make the dog ho high or on legs, not this low easy arm biting.. not likey... LOL
