Ok, here is my last post here on the PDB for a while, I'm sick of threads being deleted and then locked.  It was getting better for a while, but today it is just too much.

First, a balanced dog that is pushed into defense can and will bite full and hard.  Full bites have a huge genetic component.  I do agree that most dogs will bite full in prey, even weak dogs.  However, there are plenty of strong serious dogs that bite full regardless of the circumstance.  My dog and several dogs in our K9 unit bite full in defense and actually bite and fight harder under very serious threat and stress.  They do not let go but crush what they are biting.  I would say dogs that let go and bite a different body part or constantly regrip are somewhat unsure or in a fight that they believe they may be hurt in or do not believe they are going to win.  The regripping and changing position on the bite is due in part to the stress, genetics and training.

For Vikram,

Here you go my current dogs pedigrees, as I posted on the other thread for you and it was deleted.  Which, I think was BS to delete.

My female raised and HOT from pup:  I think you will recognize some of the dogs in her pedigree

http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/395405.html

My male who was also raised from a pup and trained in SchH and converted to my Police K9.  Your friend has worked my dog and had very nice things to say about him.  A dog with full, calm crushing grips even on his street bites.  A clear headed, confident, secure, high drive, hard dog with serious aggression but no handler aggression.  A dog that can go from an apprehension and immediately focus on narcotics work, being high in drive yet working on task.

 http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/469183.html

You would be wise to learn about his lines. Several of his siblings and litter mates are working Police K9's or national level SchH dogs.

Deanna,
I saw your post before it was deleted.  Thanks!

Ok, I'm done for a while.  Tired of taking time to post something then having it deleted and the thread locked.

Adios,

Jim

GSD mod: When folks knowingly derail a thread, you take the chance of it being deleted. 3 warnings were given to stay on topic. All ignored. 3 strikes and gone. The thread was locked to clean it up and then unlocked.

PS: I do not believe posting a pedigree in response to a question for my dog's pedigree is derailing any topic on the Pedigree Database.  My response, although not on topic for the thread was not rude or insulting.  Sometimes the direction of a thread changes and evolves.  That thread was derailed long before my response about pedigrees.  My post could have been copied and pasted to a new topic rather than simply deleted.  That may have been a more courteous and reasonable way to handle the situation.  It would appear from GSD Mods response above that I was the one warned 3 times and it was my response that caused the thread to be locked, that was simply not the case.  I was not the one to derail the thread and was unaware that 3 warnings were given.

Vikram,

Cezch dogs are doing very well right now in everything.
I am very interested in the ZPS dogs that would be very good
in any situation. Prager Hans has had these type of dogs
for 30 years, and has a big following as well. So I would
not made a statement you may regret later when you learn
more about the breed.

Cheers... tata... tot ta lu..

Erri z Blatenskeho zamku CS

Max ze Stribrneho kamene

Irmus Galán Nalag

All have super grips....and are Cezch.

These people could have any bloodline they choose, and this
is what they have.

So yes Cezch is doing very well....

you guys discuss with such generalities that it makes no sense, ie, West german dogs are x and Czech dogs are z. Hey, there is something a little more like a "spectrum" in German Shepherd workingline dogs. You will find just as many good Czech dogs in WUSV competition worldwide as you do German bred dogs. You will find many German bred working police dogs as you will Czech dogs. Just understand that there are two spectrums. One is for quality, the other is for working ability. Nancy,
You make a good point until  the last
sentence.......... "One is for quality, the other is for working ability"

For the GSD as a working breed, it must be evaluated on it's
working ability first to insure the quality of the breed.
Not as an after thought.

Here is a SchH 3 bitch I think is a very good blend.
She was bred to Como and had her puppies in Dec 2009.

Very good breeding for work...These dogs will be
very tough for anything....Those of you who knew Tom or Orry
know their temperaments run very close to the old boarder patrol lines.
Notice the Hexenfrost line in her pedigree.

she had puppies at her age , nice

she is basically 4 or 5 times robby glockeneck , erika mat roz , and gent od policie , so I would say mostly ostblut

another nice example for vikram

I don't share Vikrams opinion at all.......
Czech dogs are put in for courage and to maintain some of the
already good lines....the opposite of what Vikram said.

But it is what it is...pure Max.

I think the litter date was 12/11 /2009

This is Stacy's dog litter....Very good Stacy Ruiz.
She is a member of PDB...I hope you are not a
moderator Stacy...You have been very nice in the past.

It's too late say the mix of Czech with other lines is
blasphemy....people are getting some very good dogs.

habanaro

The other day I was training and after conferring with an associate he informed me that I did not know shinola.(He actually indicated that I would have problems differentiating shinola from other less valuable substances) After some contemplation I realized that he was right and I set forth on quest to find some information about shinola. Shinola was a shoe polish manufactured during the early to mid part of the 20th century. The original patent was granted in 1929 to the Shinola -Bixby corporation. Kiwi was one of the original shoe polishes developed in the early 1900's and shinola was a competitor. The kiwi corporation eventually gained market dominance and shinola was no longer produced. From my research I found that shinola was no longer produced by the late 50's. So I was especially distressed to know that the person I had been training with who was born in the late 60's could not have had very much exposure to shinola and certainly could not be considered a shinola expert. I doubt that he could identify shinola once removed from its original packaging. I felt empowered as I realized that through study I had my shinola together. My club member did not even know when shinola was patented. His selfish bogarting of his shinola knowledge was not helpful to anyone. I on the other hand helped educate my club members on shinola and why you should not use it to preserve leashes due to some toxic components and propensity to dye the skin.

Vikram Hope this helps

Have a day
