Columbus NC black female in Animal Shelter. - Page 3

We are looking for a new family GSD.If the dog is good around children,we would love to give her a loving forever home.We live in NE Tn.I can give great refferences includeing my vet.We lost our last dog to bloat several months ago.Regardless if we got her or not I pray she gets a forever home.I can't stand that helpless look in her eyes.

someone in NC needs to just GO there.  tomorrow.  get her.  Or at least make some phone calls and make sure she is held until someone can get there.  Talking about it on the internet is helpful only in getting more people aware of the dog - it doesn't help the dog unless someone actually DOES IT.  I can't, I'm 7 hours away and have no way of getting there.  I can take the dog if someone pulls her and I can help arrange transport.  But the first step is to get the dog out, and keep the dog until someone can get her.  Someone needs to just do it - don't think someone else is going to - this will go around in circles here with everyone's good intentions, and she will be lost.  Please, someone call, and go get her if the rescue doesn't step up - TODAY.

 Tomorrow morning is the Euthanization date.  Before they are opened by 12 noon.
I tried to call both numbers listed and only got a fax beeeeep...
So I wasn't able to leave a message to save this girl. Also their webpage wouldn't load, so one cannot see if the dog is still available. Another BAD WEBPAGE....for the public to check on.
What a shame, I can only hope that the local rescue has saved her before tonite. I gave up when Molly said she would take her. Molly should have called to reserve her. I hope this pup does not get PTS....

Molly is not a rescue organization.  Molly tries to help when/if she can, by housing and placing dogs that need new homes.  I cannot leave my farm and boarding kennel to drive 8-10 hours each way to a shelter in NC to adopt a dog.  I have contacted the people I know in NC who said they are working on it - people here have said they are willing to help - if noone actually steps up then there is nothing else I can do from this end.  My offer is to house the dog and find it a new home, if it is pulled and transported.  That was my offer from the beginning.  It's up to "someone" to get the dog out and get it up to me, or to you, or to somewhere she can be housed.  The problem is, too many people who mean well and say they want to help but assume someone else is going to actually do it.  I hope "someone else" does, in time.

I can't take in another female...enough issues with 2 alpha ones already, if it was a male it would have been at the house already, however if dog is not picked up by today, this afternoon after i get off work, I will go get her but someone would have to pick her up soon, I can't accomidate another dog on the inside and with snow storm comming through this weekend she can't stay outside....thats the best i can do.....
oak34 Please  let me know if you get through and if she is there by 2pm eastern time so i don't drive for 2 hrs through mountains....please...

LF just got through I posted info in post above I got number for the lady coming for her, I want to call her and make sure she is transporting and talking about the same dog

Ok just got through lady said have to call 8:30 quarter to 9 for a Robin

Robin was helpful said someone was supposed to take dog last night and transport but are coming back today wasnt sure what rescue they were from though

LF, you listed her in Whiteville, NC.....thats more toward the coast and not just a 2HR drive through the mountains. I just looked at their website, she is not listed there. Website worked fine for me.
