You did not "Ruffle any Feathers", you said - I am not trying to be mean and am honestly trying to understand the concept of PP dogs
And we are trying to explain it to you.
Then you said - Two, no matter how much you pay for a PPD it's not going to matter much if it's not continually conditioned and trained to keep it sharp.
I pointed out that our dogs receive constant training. I will assume you are no longer a pre-teen, do you still take self defense classes to stay sharp?
I don't care if you are male or female, big or small. Most people have no idea what "Real Violence" is like, and it is not like it is on TV. And when it happens you either engage it or attempt to flee it. And it is scary even for people who do know what it is like.
I'll take a chance and say that you have never experienced real violence, and I hope you never do. Because, with all due respect, I don't think your pre-teen self defense do' and don'ts from the Police are going to do you any good.
If you engage a violent life threatening situation with your K9 Partner you have a much greater chance of surviving
Finally, if the dog is not with you or able to get to you how is it supposed to keep you safe?
There is no one, no gun, no alarm that can always protect you, but practicing self awareness of your safety and surroundings will help you avoid being a victim.

Sometimes I hate the internet. You can't get a feel for a person without being able to listen them and look into their eyes.
You are right I am WAYYY past pre-teen and no I have not continued my self defense classes.
As for experiencing "real Violence" unfortunately you would be wrong. But it has made me stronger and much more aware of my surroundings.
I have a K9 Partner, a Chow mix that I rescued. I take her everywhere with me. She has been well socialized and I always keep her on a leash when we are in public. She has not had any protection training but she has let few pushy/aggressive people know that she does not like them getting to close to me. I do not consider her my PPD but my friend.
I am not weak nor naive.

IF a person is going to rely on self defense, they need to stay tuned up (much like our canine friends). The only way self defense maneuvers will work is if you have practiced them countless times to the point of muscle memorization. If you have not, then they will not help you in your time of need.
Taking one or two self defense courses and expecting them to stay fresh and come quickly to mind when placed in real danger is just not realistic. If you are going to rely on self defense, PLEASE stay enrolled in year long courses and practice as often as you can.
This is meant to help, not criticize.

In earlier post I have pointed out how difficult it is to converse in Forums, e-mails etc. because you can not see the expression of the face, hear the tone of voice etc.
I try very hard to explain my point of view in a polite and professional manner, and sometimes we all have to make assumptions on subjects.
I never suggested that You were naïve; I said “Bad guys look for the weak and naïve”. My apologies if you were offended.
As for your dog, no offense but my experience is that many…. many people think their dog will defend them in a violent situation.
And, some un-trained dogs will, but they are very rare. When we test a dog for the first time we “Post” them, and then apply a minimal amount of pressure to gauge their reaction. Is this dog a good candidate for Protection/Police/Schutzhund training. A lot of dogs fail the test, which does not mean that they would not be a good (for lack of better words) family watch dog.
However, they do not possess the inherent ability to challenge, deter of engage in a fight with an assailant.
Again I have to assume, and I assume that you joined this Forum to learn about PSD/PPD/Schutzhund dogs and you asked for an explanation, and I am trying to explain it to you, this is just my opinion.

No offense but Pedigrees can and are Forged, Pictures can, and are and taken off others web sites.
Show me a picture of you and your dog working and explain how and why you are doing what you’re doing. Or better yet, visit the Trainer in person and show me what you can do. Don’t tell me or show me documents…SHOW ME.
This is what people should be asking and doing.

I did not post to this person to intimidate them...I have no way of knowing if they are real or fake..and neither do all the rest of you....
Maybe the breeder will step forward...and maybe the breeder doesnt want to post here..Most of them do not. I could count on two hands the ones who do not....\
I am not the breeder and no one posts with the same frame of mind I do or YOU DO>..or anyone else.
NO ONE SHOULD BE attacking anyone for posting their OWN EXPERIENCES> WHY TEAR down someone...why not ask nicely to post pictures or pedigrees..I can rest assuredily if a pedigree is posted here that is taken from a website , whoevers it came froms phone would be ringing off the wall in 24 hours...Same with pictures....

When I said- Show me a picture of you and your dog working and explain how and why you are doing what you’re doing. Or better yet, visit the Trainer in person and show me what you can do. Don’t tell me or show me documents…SHOW ME.
This is what people should be asking and doing when buying a dog, any dog.
I was not speaking directly to you or anyone else, my apologies if you miss-understood me. I was trying to address a concern that is constantly brought up in this forum.
This is not a North American (Canada/US) Forum, it is an International Forum.
It is really unfortunate that a Forum about “DOGS”, PSD/PPD/Schutzhund is being taken over by people who use it for everything but the subject of dogs
How many people have been scared off? People who sincerely desire the help and advice of the so called Professionals on this forum........ who bicker over what?
How much you paid for a dog, what color it is,?
I’m not looking for a fight, is this forum about Dogs or is it the Jerry Springer Show?

Come on Azure, you are having loads of fun with this, yes? Why ever did you take your avatar off? I'm sure it helped you in your search, blonde bombshells are very popular here!
