What is going on here?
Seems like all hell broke loose and then Pifft! It all just evaporated.
This is not fair. It sounded really interesting.

I know you said privately, but because I have called her out, a few times, I feel I should keep anything I have to say about her public. So that there is no question, as to what I have said!
No, she did not take to kindly to what you said! I liked how you said,'You come off as ........." (No, I will not repeat, don't want her to start threatening again!) Because to me that's it in a nutshell.... How SHE IS portraying herself! How she speaks about herself as being a certain way but her actions tell a different story!
I just wish she could have taken to heart what you said and did a little soul searching!
Anyways, she F-Bombed you among other words she used
She posted your name, city, State
She's having her Lawyer send you a letter (which all you have to do is make copies of, how she talks about and to people and you got it made.... what a joke!)
She kept demanding that what you wrote be taken off and when it wasn't, (remember this is the same person who called you names, Prager names for his opinion and spent a whole week-end here calling and getting others to call the mod bad names) She was posting the TOS!!!! "This is against the TOS!!!!" Way to funny!
The mod was only taking her rants off, because you did not attack her, you really did try and explain how her actions were making her look! But she couldn't see that! OMG She was just full of rage! Each time she reposted (she was calling out the mod and threatening you and posting the TOS) she was making the words bigger and bolder! It was a sad sight! She was so out of control!
It was after the 4th or 5th repost that the mod finally deleted the whole thing! Which in a way is sad because now she knows all 'SHE' has to do to get rid of a thread is throw a fit!

You're darn right these mods make mistakes (Just had a quite a few of my posts deleted due to our little Miss Hissy Fit) and it made me mad! Down right mad! But to be fair, most posts do remain and it looks like the mods ARE getting better. We can swear. Links are back. And YR was talking about football! So no, not all gloom and doom!
And if I remember, plenty of peoples posts were being deleted when there were NO moderators.... People cried all the time..... what was that called..... oh yeah.... The Report Button!
Honestly, I didn't mind some of the off topic stuff. There were some great smack downs and funny OTs and I'd love to see a music thread get started again! But unfortunately, people pushed the envelope so far over the edge, Oli felt he had no other choice but to take the board back!
And I do believe, it was Oli that said, 'He Did Not Like the religious, racist and political stuff.' And he was thinking of making a chat/message board, where you would be able to do that stuff and he would make it so it wouldn't be connected with the Database. That's how much he doesn't like it but he's willing to try and come up with a spot where those that want to talk and read about these thing can do so! Pretty nice of him I think! I know it isn't happening fast enough but he did say, he doesn't have a lot of extra time and as you've been experiencing, there are more important issues going on.
And you're right, I'm sure a lot of people do not like having mods and could speak out but maybe they don't because they understand why he did what he did or maybe they are just happy that they finally have THEIR board back! JMO

I will give her "two thumbs up" though on figuring out my full name and where I live. Who would think that you could find that information on my website???? LMAO I didn't realize anyone who's been around a while didn't know (if they cared to wonder) my full name and where I live.
Now, why, if she's threatening me, should I NOT be entitled to see all this?
SP- you're the king of screen shots. Got anything for me?
If anyone wants to email or PM me, I swear I will not reveal who sent me the info/shots. I totally understand not wanting to get involved.

I sure hope Miss Hissy Fit is no longer a moderator.

I mmissed this whole thing. Who is the moderator that has to be moderated? How crazy does that sound...? What a mess....

Moderator Suggestion: How about just drop it? The fact is, the forum is still here and in actuality, very little moderation has occurred to date. If people will write about dog topics and have some manners about their interactions with others, moderators have little to do and will be glad for it. Most of us appear to NOT be interested in deleting the occasional OT thread, or providing our opinions about matters discussed here. When threads begin to turn ugly, they do in fact detract from the value of this forum and the site as a whole. We are committed to the site owner to stop that kind of behavior and will do so to the best of our ability. Discussing politics or other subjects (which almost always degenerate into shameful displays fueled by internet anonymity) are best done on other internet forums where people who enjoy being outrageous without consequence can have at it. The site owner does not wish this site to be anything but a great place where one can come and discuss and learn about dogs and German Shepherds, in particular. It would be great if that could be exactly the goal for all involved.

Can't you please send me a copy? Wouldn't you want the same if it were you? Do so anonymously; I'm not interested in starting any trouble; I just want to have it on hand just in case this goes any farther.
Moderator comment: I understand your irritation. However, both you and everyone else knows that the lawsuit threat is just that and is bogus. Anyone can threaten anything. The only threat was to have her lawyer send you a letter. Big deal!
Secondly, yes, being upset that someone did this is understandable, but given the source, is it really worth the time and effort to expend being upset? Much of the profanity was directed at the moderator anyway. The post with your personal information was deleted very quickly. And, as you know, this information was available on your internet web site anyway.
I do not have a copy of what was deleted. I don't waste my time with such drivel as was posted except to put out fires before they become conflagrations. Accepting what others told you may or may not be accurate. As you know, many people do not always get things exactly correct and this post was, as stated, also deleted quickly every time it was posted until I decided to delete the thread.
Finally, I generally won't respond to any posts and that way I can also keep above the board. So please do not expect another explanation. As I suggested, just drop it. Sometimes taking the "high road" is the right thing. I think you know that and I know you can do it. Good luck. I am sure you have better things to do. I suspect the other person embarrassed herself and lost a lot of goodwill by her recent actions.

Here is the problem as I see it:
Several hundred sane posts can be made on one thread.
But alas, some hot-headed screwball gets mad, has a meltdown and starts dropping F-bombs etc.
So, the solution is now to WIPE OUT the whole thread.
This ruins it for the people that follow the TOS. How about finding a way to punish the abusers.
I mean if some liquored up fool drives his/her car into a crowd of people and wipes out 15 or so, would your solution be to ban the automobile for everyone?
Surely you can find a way to reward the sane and punish the abusers.
Just my $.02
Moderator Comment: As you should know, the moderators agree with your stance 100%. However, until and unless a software change is made, we do NOT have the ability to lock threads. The site owner is very, very busy and does not always have time to institute changes and sometimes may not even have the technical ability to do as we suggest. So, we simply normally delete individual posts as I did on that night, but none of us cares to sit all day and night at the computer when someone looses it and posts the same profane post over and over again. If I had had another option, I would have taken it. The ability to lock out certain posters from the PDB altogether has also been repeatedly suggested to the site owner. I do not know if he does not want to do that or cannot do it. The few of us who are moderators, with one poor exception, are doing the best job we can. It is hoped that the person who caused all the trouble this past weekend is not really one of the moderators, and if she is, hopefully will be terminated. But we do not have the options to do as you suggest, regardless of whether we agree with you or not.
Moderator edit: Yes the moderator that had the meltdown has been removed as a moderator by the site owner. She has no powers to edit posts or delete them.
