pick working pups are often kept back from the best litters - I don't sell my pick working pups to pet homes, would rather keep them and wait.

Molly, I think that can go both ways. Most highly touted and sought after litters are picked apart until the end. The smaller less-known breeders may have to hold back a pup and sometimes 5#it happens.
