Jenni,
Congrats on the hip certification! Very nice!
BUT....be careful when waiting to send in elbow xrays (if you choose to do so) on an older dog.....
If there are any arthritic changes...they could/will not pass.  This can be a problem with older dogs OR dogs that are "hard" on their elbow joints.
This is one of the "faults" in the OFA system (I believe).....they have no "grading" scale.
This being one reason we primarily choose to send xrays to Germany for evaluation...but that is "my" personal reason.

 Thanks, Robin. Good call. I should probably do that sooner rather than later w/this one then. I should've thought of this on my own, actually. I knew a big dog, very hard on his body, who was graded "mild" in the elbows due to nothing BUT arthritic changes; the joint was well formed. 

You do this a lot more than I do so I will take your word for it and send the elbows to Germany. Thanks.

I completely agree that OFA needs a scale on older dogs elbows.

I would have done the same.. I just sold a male 14mos and I prelimmed him ...all ok good...a must when you sell to a another breeder...Do not want my name muddied up on here......lol

I am such a slacker, aren't I? Sorry Michele! The one w/the baby was in Feb., when I first got her. The one of her airborne is March, I think, w/my friend. That pic depicts why she was forced out of her pet home. LOL
