Good advice from Phil- try to find a trainer who works with behavior issues. People get too hung up on breed, where it's not necessarily about her being a GSD (hence the SchH club) but find a professional trainer who is good with dogs of her type of issues, ask them how they would go about providing solutions and training, you can also get references from the trainer of other aggressive dogs they have worked with, and ask the people about the methods used and how well the training worked out long-term. You will usually get good references but even so, they can tell you the pros and cons and their own experience.
There are some websites to search, like www.canineprofessionals.com of course not every trainer is on there and they are not all going to be right for you, but you can search by zip code, ask other dog owners, ask the local Humane societies for a list of trainers, use Google, etc. Advice from the forum may not help you much because it has to be applied to your dog individually.

missyfly,
How far are you willing to drive for training? I live near Raleigh and there are a number of trainers around here, but by that, I mean within thirty minutes to a couple hours drive.

Alright, I re-read some of your posts and it looks like an hour away is tops? Here's a list of facilities/trainers off the top of my head:
Tarheel K-9
Johnson Haus
Highland Canine (may be too far)
Born to Lead K-9
Anyone have experience with these trainers?
Any more recommendations?
I know there are some NC people on this board...

Before you do anything with your dog I would have it evaluated and get more than one opinion.

I would like to thank everyone for your help and suggestions for trainers. I will be looking into them all and get my girl evaluated by more trainers!

That is real good news. I have a good feeling you'll make this work for you and your dog.

beetree,
I don't have a choice but to make it work. I love her dearly and would never part with her so I have to do whatever I need to!
