To me this is great news, It will be good for the UK Guys with there two organizations, it is about time they got things in check and worked together
Over here in Belgium we have the French Side and the Flemish side which are two teams, but with a difference Both teams work towards the best Dogs and Handlers for the countries honour put before there own
and the French side did that just last year when they told the reserve Flemish dog to take the place of there second Choice, That showed they were thinking of Team Performance and not of themselves
Yes, it is about time each country worked together if they have more than one organzisation
In the meantime i will be heading for Sevilla, Spain to watch this years event

At this stage of the game......... I would like to see some ass kicking
dogs. And I don't see them here. It is no mystery what USA and WUSV
want. They are one of the same.  They don't want any splinter groups.
I don't care how you do it.... just start pumping out dogs that win world
championships. And leave the trainers and handlers alone.
We have more GSD's than any country in the world by far and if we don't
go to the world championships...... it's just another Bundes. A little circus.

Steve1.... Glad to see your smiling face....if I make it to Spain this year
lets grab some of that world famous Spanish coffee! They say it is so
strong it makes your pupils dilate.

Rik,,,,,,what attention did USCA pay to the protection phase at this year's Sieger Show?

i understand the need for a joint trial to ensure that the best of the best goes to wusv.  i'm sure it has happened and would happen that a less qualified competitor would go to wusv as default simply because they belong to organization  A or B.  those affected, would be the number 4 and 5 competitors who might, infact, be better qualified than some members of the other organization, but get shut out because each organization can only send 3.  however, the next question is:  who hires the judges?  can they insure impartial judging?  will the judge be unbiased for both organizations and unbiased when it comes to individuals?  the only way to be fair about it would be to hire judges from foreign countries who have no stake or interest in the results.........but then again, it would be advantageous for them to judge better competitors more harshly in the hopes that their own country would do better against a less competitor.  believe me, i have seen this shit go on in other types of animal judging and showing.  sometimes, i think it is unconscious, but other times it is very intentional.  i will be anxious to hear more on this mattter.

Ziegenfarm,
Let say UScA post better scores,....can they....do they .....have
the right to say only UScA member will go. And visa versa. Does the winning
organization go or the ones who post the highest qualifying scores?
Is this a show down or compromise?

at this point, neither organization has 100% control over who qualifies, but i am sure they would both like to slant the board in their favor.  it is exactly this kind of agenda that has left a nasty taste in everyones mouth.  i think most everyone wants it to be about the dogs and not about politics.

ZF,

In a perfect world.....this is about one particular by-law that UScA has,
that stipulates no members from other Organization are welcome.

Where does this by- law come from?..........WUSV!!......The Pope!

                        WUSV a God on earth!!

by HBFanatic on 16 September 2010 - 18:09

Never mind, I think I missed something and have the basics now. LOL

The larger a group and the larger competition the more likely it is to find the best competitors. Small splinter groups + small trials = not a good comparison what is going on in my opinion. I know they are supposed to trial to a certain score but my personal opinion is that it is much more real the more dogs and handlers compete at the same time against each other. It ups the ante.

HBF,
The future is unclear......and the bee's are still swarming.

Two things we know..1st....The United State is paramount in
the WUSV. It is a cash cow and they are very careful how they
tamper with it.

2d ...Is they feel they created the SV and should be sole proprietors.
Thus their aim is to be a proprietary organization with absolute
control......

Here is the rub......Being Americans......we love freedom of
choice.......And without us ...they don't have a big and powerful
organization.

So it has alot of people walking on eggshell's ......

My guess is they plan is to beat there rivals and
take their members. But make it look like they
are being fair.

ziegan:

You do Olympic style judging 3 judges say one USA,WDA,SV and take a average score. about as fair as you can get.
