Kalibeck

Very interesting...sorry about the blank post, I had no field in the comment space to type in, but once I hit the post button it came back. I was looking for pictures of Kali's eyes that I took, but I can't find any, I think once I knew what it was I deleted them. The article described it pretty well, it was a translucent grayish film over an oval area of her cornea, but it has pretty much disappeared. The vet couldn't find it the last time we went for an appointment, but when I took her in because of it, our vet knew immediately what it was, no question. So I guess it's pretty easily identified, even by a generalist. I'd get it checked, even if only for your peace of mind. But it was easy to tell it didn't bother her, it bothered me! jackie harris

I couldn't find the pictures of the filmy area on  her eyes, but these are her eyes today, in the second picture you can kind of see where it was, because the light refracts a little differently there, it looks like a light area on her iris, it's actually to the left of that light spot, under her pupil. I think that area retains kind of a prizmatic effect, because that light spot is actually the light that is passing through her cornea being refracted to that spot. I must say, it is not easy taking eyeball pictures! She began covering her face & eyes with her paw, "Enough with the flash in the eyes, OK?" jackie harris
