I agree, though, that it's jarring on what had been a moving remembrance thread. If more of the same shows up and the thread takes a dive, yeah, it'll probably be deleted.
Seems to me that Oli is trying to be very tolerant and understanding and not a hard-head about the board, and I respect that so much.
To all of us who lost friends and family that day, and to all of us with friends and family in the military, fire, police, and emergency responders, God Bless!

NEVER FORGET

by Kalibeck on 11 September 2010 - 17:09
It is seared into my memory like a brand, a scar that will always be there to be seen by all those who know me, & a frame through which I view others.
NEVER FORGET.
Every moment of that day can be pulled up to play in my mind as if it were yesterday, or this morning, & the feelings that accompany those memories are still fresh, & ragged. Every insult to that memory is like salt to the wound. The pain, tears, & anger wells up quickly. These brief 9 years have taught me how to shield my pain & anger from others. But it does not go away.
NEVER FORGET.
Thank you, Prager.

Really great pics kellyj. Of all days of all posts a little unity would be nice for a change. Thank you Prager for taking your time to post this.

Same with the dog pooping, if you remember after this happened there was a lot of anti-osama propaganda and lots of anger, and it is all part of the healing process, anger is one of the stages of grief. Humor is also a way of coping with tough things, and I don't see anything wrong with it.
Raymond, he is not a "Muslim leader", and your statement would truly offend any Muslim-- Osama Bin Laden was NOT a real Muslim, he was an extremist leader of a terrorist group called the Taliban who practiced a distorted and perverted form of Muslim religion. Ignorance like this is why there's so much problem with the mosque, so much that its tainting this day of rememberance with hatred even more-- it is not universally their (Muslims) fault that some extremists did this, no more than it's all Catholics fault that someone bombed an abortion clinic. See, they took a principal from a religion and distorted and misused it. Hatred and evil is the cause of all this.
LIfe's short, be positive & greatful for each breath you take,
Thank you for this thread.
