i have to agree with sue in regards to the helmut/armin book.  i would also add that armin has a wonderful website with tons of info in understanding drives and other aspects of training.  i have most of the books mentioned above and can take em or leave em, but i won't part with that ONE.  good luck in your quest for knowledge and in applying it to your situation.

I have shared my dvds with a few friends (locally, UK) but I would not part with it until the day I become a shutzhund champion :-)
I assure you it's worth the money to own both the dvds: Obedience without conflict (i.e Clear communications & The Game) and you will replay in over and over again, sections by sections just to get the most out of it.  I did so a novice and still do sporadically.  Best investment Ruger1.  I bought them from CanineSolutions and cost even more for overseas posting!  You will definately love it.

                I think I will be doing some Internet shopping this week....It sounds like starting with the Ivan DVD is a good chose....I can't wait to see the look on hubby's face when I ask him for another $100 bill........Wish me luck...
