So sad, that's near where I live. It was really hot yesterday. I can only imagine how much guilt this officer is feeling. What a tragic accident.

I'm not saying this happens in all the cases and it's very sad that this happened but the officer had just found out that his son had a brain tumor and was at the hospital... He wasn't in the right state of mind and unfortunately the dog suffered the cost. But there is no doubt that as an K9 officer no one loved that dog more than officer Trotta and he has to deal with two tragedies right now. It is a sad loss for the LE community. RIP Juno.

Thanks for informing us of this additional bit of crucial information regarding the K9 Officers son. It certainly sheds some more light on how this tragedy transpired. My heart goes out to the Officer and his family.
