An emaciated German shepherd was found in the front yard, the dog was in a small dog carrier. The animal was so ill that veterinarians had to euthanize it.
They then found dogs in the backyard and in the garage living in horrible, filthy conditions.
"The ground was covered with feces over a foot high in some places."
Carson shelter manager said the problem with most of the dogs was, they were very hungry.
"Right now they are doing pretty good. We've been feeding them regularly and checking them regularly. They are in a lot better shape than they were in Saturday."
Bartmess said she bought the kennel 4-1/2 years ago to breed dogs for sale. The business has not done well and costs her approximately $10,000 a year. The more dogs, the more problems they were having trying to take care of them.
"This is kind of like a dream that turned into a nightmare. We've never made a living off the dogs, I don't know who could."

Schaferhunden, AKA John, who wants to run down what he feels is his competition (paranoid?), and seems to have barely got an education.. types out messages like a borderline illiterate, and so uses cut and paste, always the same topic, over and over, like some peanut-trained monkey.

I should post the private email John sent me before we had our falling out, where he asks me if a cattle / livestock vaccination gun would be good for use on dogs. Answer.. I guess it depends on how many you have? If you have a herd, maybe yes, perhaps. Most people give individual doses, using a disposable syringe.
As to the newspaper article, ever hear of "yellow press journalism"? Anyone who believes everything they read in the newspaper or sees on the "news" is a fool. Some true, some untrue, some wildly exaggerated, a lot omitted. Which is which? You figure it out. Most people believe what they WANT to believe, and any con artist knows this and uses it to his own profit. Newspapers are in their own trouble, which they richly deserve for printing so much trash as they do, without doing any real investigative research. Still, this is the ONLY paper that this incident appeared in, and coincidentally owned by a woman (now deceased) who was a big supporter of animal control.
