Chris:
Actually we are not owners but investors, there is a difference. Until we all act as responsible investors and come together as one voice to let the board know of our displeasure instead of fracturing off as a small radical groups and "take our toys some where else " mentality we will continue to get what we allow.

Bob is correct. There's plenty of sentiment against the new rules and it appears plenty of support to change the by laws. The problem is it's very difficult to change where change is not wanted. Organizations are not structured where anyone can just come in and take over for a 200.00 filing. There's a process and they have more ways to squelch the process than anyone has to implement the process. The grass roots idea is great but there's not enough organization to overcome the resistance.
It's evident USA is standing by their decisions as an organization. Right wrong or indifferent they voted, that's what the majority said, it's done, and they are standing behind it. Elections are coming up. Has anyone looked at the website? Is anyone running for office?

You are not a customer. You are the owner.
Christopher, you are absolutely correct. Much better analogy.

Dog1, this "new rules" was voted in BY THE MEMBERS, and it can be voted out BY THE MEMBERS if they want to, it has nothing to do with someone or a group of someone's " not wanting change". All that needs to be done is a member draw up a bylaw change proposal and submit it for a vote at the General Board meeting and then if the MEMBERSHIP wants to change it back and votes that way, then it is done. But it can not be overturned any other way by ANYONE.

"They Voted"... WRONG!!! "you voted" or the membership did, maybe you did not send a delegate. The Organization MUST stand by the decision because the organization has NO CHOICE, it is what the MEMBERSHIP voted for and no matter what people think, the executive Board does NOT have the power to overturn what the membership voted. so many people want to blame this on the Executive Board but the REALITY is that the membership voted for it and even if the Executive Board WANTED to change it, THEY CAN NOT.....

If you feel so strongly, then you will need to organze an vast majority opposition and get to work. writing on letter of complaint is not going to do anything.......
have you guys thought about sending petitions out to each club and ask people to sign and send them in?
how about if each member from each club is given a yes/no pitition and let them sign as they wish and then have it sent to you so you can copy and sent to the rulers that be?
what about letter writing campaigns for all members who do not agree?
your other choice is to come over to the dark side........
the WDA sends out ballots for use to fill out and send back in, we don't have to be present to vote.......
seems like our membership has more of a voice then the USA ....
only 54 or so made policy for the whole organization......did they even listen to the membership?
sounds like our present government......oh my!

"-----reminds me to much of our current u.s. government."
Pretty good post until you felt it necessary to throw in this tidbit and expose yourself as a douche.

WOW SitasMom
Satements like this one are the ones that really bother me...
"only 54 or so made policy for the whole organization......did they even listen to the membership?"
The 54 were mostly CLUB REPRESENTATIVES, They ARE the membership....It was the GENERAL MEMBERSHIP that voted and PASSED the bylaw change and it is ONLY the membership that can vote and change it back. The Organization DID listen to the members and the MEMBERS said they wanted this bylaw change.
Again, no letter writting, no petitions, no anything can change this back EXCEPT the membership voting to change it again, like they did the first time.....
