i would recommend minimal variety for the dog with chronic diarrhea. no beef marrow bones for him because that may just make his poo situation worse. if you want my honest opinion...i would take him off the kibble completely (which could possibly be the culprit if your vets came up with nothing), and just feed him chicken parts for now (no organs) until you get his poo back on track. you just have to make sure the chicken is all natural and not enhanced. (you can also do turkey, just watch the bone).
you can also add acidophilus to his food to give his digestive system a little boost (it works for some dogs, but not for all).

I've read all of the post here and just wanted to add two cnts more into the mix.
3% of a dogs weight feed in a raw diet will only maintain the weight of the dog. An active dog will need up to 5% of their body weight to maintain their current weight. With that said - pounds of fat per day is too much but a comment about 1oz of fat a day for very active dogs is no where near enough!!
I totally agree with the all or nothng approach to raw - get rid of the kibble. I don't even use it for treats and refuse to allow anyone to give it to my dogs.
Fat intake for dogs wil increase their total cholestrol - which is not the same as it is for humans - but it can have neurological effects on some breeds - mostly GSD's.
My Largest male GSD is 86 lbs and gets 52 oz of raw food daily - thats 3.4lbs of raw food and at least 1.5 to 2.0 lbs of that is actual meat, mosly muscle meat, some on the bone some not - beef, chicken, deer, and lamb - the remainder is a combination of organ meats, fish, sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, greens, fruits, and beans. I supplement with probiotics, and vitamins.
Root veggies, boiled until tender will help a lot with bad BM's. A good diet will yeild awesome results to include a gret looking coat and NO NEED to wash the do on a regular basis. Raw bones improved dental hygene. Best of all a good raw diet decreases "normal" reasons for dogs to visit the vet.
to each his own, but my vet totally approves of my raw diet, all of my dogs are tested regularly for possible issues and so far none have been noted.
