Someone needs to tell you Steve that you do not just walk into a dog show and put your dog in the ring!!!! You have to enter your dog well in advance of the show, if you ever want to get that show grade!!!!!!

Toni Tiger,
This is a temperament test, not just a some test so a show judge
can run his or hers hands all over dog without getting bit. But what it tells you
is that even though Izzy is bred on the best working lines that there are for protection,
she still has good character and is social enough for training. You don't want to
down play this accomplishment, on the contrary with a bloodline that good, it is a big deal.

Congratulations, steve! Nice photos, too.
So much fun to watch Izzy grow up here on line. You're doing a great job with her.

Wolfinbok,
Toni is not down playing Steve and Izzy accomplishment on the temperament test...Toni is speaking of the conformation test Steve wants to enter Izzy into to get her rating. I'm sure Steve will get her entered just as soon as he can find out where one is going to be held in his area.
Nice pics by the way. Cool hardware. I really like the way you and Izzy look moving along together...very pretty pic.

As i said i did not even know what the test involved But i thought it interesting to have a go to see how the Pup reacted,
But regardless of that i have been working with the Pup from 9 weeks old, i know her and i know what i can do that is enough,
If you watch the person going in front of you, all you had to do in this case is to memorize what sequence he did
I did not need to practice the routine with Izzy, i already knew what she could or would not do in relation to Footing, Going Down Staying Down and coming too me that is every time training for the future
But not on the showing side once she gets a G rating then it will be korclasse after her SchH1, But other than that it is the sport ScHh side for us
Oh regards the G rating i take her to a Show Class once a week to get her moving around the Ring But as soon as the chance comes to get into a Show for her G rating i will take the chance not wait for a year or so
About 3 weeks ago i was at one such show, and it was being judged by Two Judges who are Judging at the Big German Sieger Show later on,
However Izzy was only two days too young to compete the show was the Saturday her 1 year old birthday was two days later otherwise she would have gone for it then, One thing i never suffer from nerves i just get stuck in and have a go If i make a mistake then i learn by it and have another go
I have been told that i need to get her back driving off her hocks, and i did ask one very knowledgeable Show Person on this site for some tips when going round the Ring which he gave me, I need to get her in a Show position better but that is coming
in the short time i have been doing this show bit Izzy has progressed from Grabbing the Measuring stick out of the Judges hands, and When he said let me have her to put her in a show pose he said move about 4 yards away, She pulled him over when she decided she did not want to stay with him and come to me instead
Now she will let the Guy measure her, Look at her teeth and stand in a sort of a show pose for a short time, so progress has been made on the showing side and i do not take it lightly, i intend to get the G rating and if all goes well the korclasse
